I think that Tim Grierson summed it up accurately, the era when ANY superhero/antihero/supervillain would be wildly accepted and highly profitable has ended. These less well-known "supers" belong on a streaming channel where the audience can learn the backstory. Should the personality catch on, then there is the potential of a theatrically released film based solely on that character or even including the character in another's story. BTW this comment did cause me huge laughs, "Not an abomination"....Christy Lemire. Kudos to Christy as that statement works on several levels if one remembers Abomination's first role in the 2008 version of The Incredible Hulk film. Starring in that role was yet another actor who deserved better material Tim Roth.
On the bright side, when really good actors go for the check, it gives them enough financial security to go make small quirky out there films that won't make a lot of money but will feed the artistic soul. Thank you Kraven
Love the thumbnail. Christy has the best WTF look. It's like she recreating an old emo teen photo of herself from the 90s. 😂 "On the next episode of My So-Called UA-cam Channel."
Ariana DeBose needs to fire her agent. I.S.S. (bomb) Wish (bomb) Argylle (bomb and one of the worst movies ever made) House of Spoils (bad streaming movie) Kraven the Hunter (bomb)
Tim, I’m going to check out Morbius since you said it’s not as bad as all that!! Also, so glad my kids are grown up so I don’t have to get upset at all the primo actors slumming (ohh, and one fab cinematographer!). Thanks for the review tho, guys! I’ve been duly warned. ♥️

Russell Crow’s choices make no sense to me. Going from movies like The Insider, Gladiator, Beautiful Mind to Unhinged, Pope’s Exorcist and this, plus everything the last 15 plus years. Not the career trajectory one would’ve thought.😅
Sure but his run from 1997 (L.A Confidential) through to 2007 (American Gangster / 3:10 to Yuma) was one of the most impressive 10 year stints of any actor and he still made the occasional good movie even after that (The Nice Guys, Les Mis, Unhinged, The Next Three Days).
What gets me is that kraven isnt an animal hunter when thats literally the point of his character. He hunts spiderman cause he sees spiderman as the ultimate prey
Honestly, as preposterous as this movie was, I kind of loved it lol. It’s a bad movie. Yes. But by about the 400th murder I was like “okay, I love that Aaron Taylor Johnson is living his best life, and death here”. When he is running around doing away with people, my bff and I were laughing and having a blast. I have no idea why they needed JC to direct this movie, but this was a bloody mess, riot of a movie. We laughed our asses off the entire time ☠️💀🤡🤣
Will you re-review this with Alonso? Maybe a spoiler review? Because he seemed to have had fun with it despite the low artistic quality of the film. Would love to see both of y'alls take.
Why did JC Chandor (Margin Call, A Most Violent Year & All is Lost) subject himself to Kraven (RT 15%), he's better than this! He's a writer-director who's written all his previous movies, so should've been allowed to write this movie instead of the hack duo Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Punisher: War Zone, Transformers: The Last Knight, Men in Black: International, Uncharted, Kraven).
Maybe it’s a one for you, one for me type deal? Like James Wan doing Aquaman, and then getting his funds to make Malignant. Obviously it’s different b/c Aquaman made a billion, but you get my point. All is Lost on me too with this one.
I think part of the reason these films turn out badly is that the people making them and starring in them don't see a difference between good superhero movies and bad superhero movies. They all think superhero movies are dumb and weightless, and that's what they think the assignment is. It can't be explained any other way.
I actually had a little bit of hope because I thought the trailer was cool. It was probably the music. I hate that Christopher Abbott is in this crap but I will skip through to his scenes when I can stream it lol.
I couldn't enjoy the silly aspects of this movie because the rest of it was so bad. I was almost willing to forgive the stilted performances and the terrible dialogue, but then there were all the other issues like the awful ADR, the continuity error and the weird editing. But, Christie, I'm glad you at least had fun with it. 😂
I appreciate that this channel is sincere and has good energy. There aren’t many good movie review channels imo
Thanks so much for the kind words and for being here!
That “disappointed face” photo that Christy uses whenever a bad review is coming always cracks me up. 😂
She’s both angry and disappointed
It's a waste of Alessandro Nivola and Christopher Abbott!
You know I'm born to lose
And gambling's for fool
But that the way I like baby
I don't want to live forever.
And don't forget the Joker
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Kraven in the comics is basically a Yautja from this planet in the comics... that would have been awesome!
Christy disappointed mom face is hilarious cause you know shes about to tear a movie a new one

Nice composite of the sad face along side the gigantic huge arm, he's almost hugging!

Thank you Kraven
Came here to say this. Hopefully it does well at box office so director can make more of what he wants.
@@nevetsny1It's going to flop at the box office. How do you not know this? It's all over the net.
We need Ariana DeBose back in good movies!
I don’t know what this says about me but I’ve been waiting all day for this review to drop because I NEED to laugh Christie!

I'm impressed by Tim's collection of 90's indie movie posters
Hi Tim! Welcome back!
How to Minimize the Profitability of Spider-Man's Rogues Gallery:
1. No one's really a villain.
2. Spider-Man is nowhere to be found.
I laughed so much listening to this review. 😅
Ha, thank you, happy to entertain!
Sony's ironic Marvel cinematic universe finally dies.
end of a cynical, half-hearted era
Ariana DeBose needs to fire her agent.
I.S.S. (bomb)
Wish (bomb)
Argylle (bomb and one of the worst movies ever made)
House of Spoils (bad streaming movie)
Kraven the Hunter (bomb)
Yeah she deserves better

We always want the best for our fab cinematographers.
These critics sure do have weird taste liked madame wed & morbius.

Title: Kraven the Hunter
tagline: everyone got paid
The reviews for this movie are so fun... people are finding interesting ways to insult this movie...😊😅😂... They might be better than the movie itself.

So glad you had fun! We definitely laughed at places that weren't intended.

Might be tough this time of year because next week is our last week before we take off for the rest of the year, but we can try!

It's confusing. A Most Violent Year was great.
Maybe it’s a one for you, one for me type deal? Like James Wan doing Aquaman, and then getting his funds to make Malignant. Obviously it’s different b/c Aquaman made a billion, but you get my point. All is Lost on me too with this one.
I bet this masterpiece puts Nocturnal Animals to shame 😂.

Christopher Rabbit is in this??
Christopher Abbott.
I actually had a little bit of hope because I thought the trailer was cool. It was probably the music. I hate that Christopher Abbott is in this crap but I will skip through to his scenes when I can stream it lol.
Yes Taya, please do, and let us know if you figure out what his superpower is :)

They lost me when they said Venom 2 was their favorite. Venom 2 was a bunch of crap.
Ah but it's better than Venom 1 and 3. It leans into the comedy of that relationship, which is wise. Thanks for watching.
The last of the SPUMM, a sad day...
Brock Lesnar Should Pay Kraven The Hunter.
Aaron Taylor Johnson wears no shirt under his vest. End of review
There is woefully little of this, though.
@ haha well damn shame ! It’s not like I am going to see this.
I think we all knew this was going to be garbage so watch "Kick Ass" instead. Next movie please....
I despise Aaron Taylor Johnson with a passion and even I think this movie was beneath him.
Really disappointed
Comic book movies...make it stop
15 min. Review is 10min too long for this trash😂😂
We enjoy talking to each other.
Gotta give the fans their money's worth.
JUST STOP!!!! ENOUGH ALREADY!!! STOP!
