I'm relieved to see footage of Fuse using this skill. I'm trying to get DSC for Fuse and I guess I'm just having the worst luck in regards to that! The only move left is Collapse and he just won't learn it! Guess I just gotta keep using Tumble and hoping for the best.
@@JetZPixelRipper It really is, that unpredictability adds a spice to SaGa. Especially since shortly after I left my first comment, I got the move! (Which is a relief, a goal of mine is to get at least one character with DSC before I face the Ring Lord in Riki's story)
The Remaster is amazing. The Scenario guide is cool because it's been a while since I've played so I'm glad to have a spot to peek into for reminders. Speed up is great for making combat go faster (Dark Sphere and Lifewave animations I'm looking at you). I'm going through the game again and the graphical overhaul is a nice touch without destroying the aesthetic of the game. They even added back content and left all the good glitches in. Totally worth the price and I hope good sales means a return to this franchise for more games.
Saga Frontier 2 and Unlimited Saga is getting remastered as well no date yet but the words comes from the creator himself on a japanese interview and some livestreams frontier did sell well on every platform and funny thing is their mobile game Reuniverse are also getting more people coming ever since they put Saga Frontier character in it (me included lol well i saw Doll and i was like yep i have to get that just because it's Doll 🤣)
I feel most reviewers out there either never played a saga game or are too used to modern spoon fed rpgs. I was addicted to the original even if I had a serious hard time playing it since i was unable to speak or read english as a kid. But god damn do I love the remake!

I can say the game is pretty fun. I managed to become a millionaire, trading gold, got a full robot team, and be the final boss of T260g's storyline without fail for the first time. I still have plans making a full DSC team at some point.
if ur planning to beat Fuse Ultimate boss my suggestion u need at least 3 DSC skills or 3 Bound Shot and 1 broken Mystic and yep for a game that originally came from 97 this remastered still holds up to most recent classic JRPG title that came out nowadays glad ur loving it man

Victory Rune doesn't really affect DSC damage imo, DSC is more dependant on ur STR stat but if u use Awaken from Mind Magic or Soul Rune that double ur stat then u'll start seein' more than 20k damage in 1 DSC
@@tiagocosmos ur welcome no, it was a misconception from the game mechanics as well i suppose and our logic for RPG games mostly will go with STR = any physical attack but SF is kinda weird on that try having 99 STR and equip Laser Knife and compare it with maybe Null Sword or Golden Lion u'll see ur damage went down super low when using Laser Knife even with 99 STR i didn't know that myself until i tried it when i was doing research on the stat tbh
Now that's interesting. I never thought Red was a Martial Artist. In the original, he was a great swordsman. Which makes me think they rebalanced everyone in this remaster. I know its alot of RNG, but Red learns sword moves SO SO SLOOOOOOWWWWWW...
i mean technically there's no ground rules for what the character can do aside from some old beliefs that Gen is the god of Sword skill and Liza is the goddess of M.Arts as u say it's all RNG people keep saying Lute is the shittiest character actually in the remastered i got him the Lifesprinkler skill after Asellus learned all the sword skill my Gen got it after my Annie somehow i think the reason they make Red slower to learn Sword is because Alkaiser needs his Ray Sword to learn some of Alkaiser skills imo and if i remember correctly in the original as u say he got normal sword skill way faster than his alkaiser move if we use Ray Sword
Playing as Red i made him a Martial Artist and i can't get either Rolling Craddle or Giant Swing to pop, i don't understand. Been spamming Tumble too. Spent a ton of time in the Bio Lab to learn Healing Rain on Cotton, was grinding it at the same time and nothing. Yes he has a free slot, lol.
try using normal punch it might take a while but usually it's faster with normal punch i'm training my red as a swordman atm since he got almost all martial arts skills already fighting a kraken will also help since kraken has a high HP and def
@@JetZPixelRipper did a bit more grinding earlier. Started just plain punching stuff which made me realize i went through nearly 2 storylines without learning any of the punch skills lol. Still no Giant Swing though :s
The Monk Fei-On is better at the start, more strength. Also, Sword will be better in the end because of all the counter they can do VS Martial art. Also Sword have a lots of ALL target and Martial art is mostly single target.... The game feel better then before, but the new game plus should not be use to have a true feeling about the game.
i'll try recruiting him on the next run but i have to disagree on the new game+ tho since the new game+ is needed for Fuse ultimate boss if they don't put new game+ it will be impossible to even beat fuse chapters ultimate boss
lol first time I got DSC was by accdent with Lisa I was like what is this and why is it not in my arts list I like the Remaster so far the fact it was rerelease sold it to plus added in cut content even better ... unfortunelly i only have a couple of hours after work to play it and I am playing Lutes story to get reaquanted with the world and getting Lutes story out of the way ^.^

I've done Riki (who doesn't really seem to be relevant to the overarching plot) and i'm nearly done with Red and debating who to play next. I don't really remember any of the stories outside Blue's and a few elements of Aselus' storie so don't want to spoil myself by playing as Fuse.
@@jonathanabgrall6075 i personally went with fuse after finishing any character tbh so for example after i did red i went with fuse then then go with other character then so on hence why now my fuse is almost maxed out on stats u can finish others first then start with fuse, that way u can choose which case u want to check first because basically fuse story is like either an empty gap to fill the plot hole or just changing the story altogether i'm not gonna spoil u about Blue's but remember how Blue/Rouge ending has been a debate over years? Fuse chapter finally closes it and u can choose either Blue/Rogue as well freely although fuse ruined something for Blue/Rogue u'll see what i mean later 🤣 and Fuse chapter also depends on which protagonist u finished so if u only finished riki u can only do Fuse case on riki u can't do Blue until u finished Blue main story first
I hate why they changed the names around its messing up my skill learning from the guide online from back in the old days, and the naming is causing problems when trying to learn some glimmers ¬_¬ it was fine the way it was why fix what isn't broke square enix!
actually it's the old one that has some mis translation that's why they changed it now but i get what u mean tho hahaha and i can relate to that especially when looking for monster skills, it can be quite confusing at first
@@JetZPixelRipper I didn't realise that, but at the very least they could of showed both wording in the game so we wouldn't get confused like an option to switch between classic names or updated translation on the fly would of been nice, so we could setup our skills learn them with classic and switch to updated to see the naming or just have new name but a classic name in the description.
@@deusvlad2.083 true if u even noticed they did change some dialogue line as well for example like Liza with Emilia when she said in the original "people think i'm too bitchy" and now it changed to "people think i'm too angsty" i kinda can't unsee that because in the japanese dialogue line it will still means she's too bitchy if we translate it but i guess PG13 stuffs nowadays so like it or not they have to go with that for english translation
Honestly, I’d rather not have DSC in the game. Or at least add something of similar use with swords, guns, and magic. It unbalanced the game. It makes all other abilities useless aside from support magic. Why use weapons when you can use fists?
nah not really because u can't use dsc as combo plus dsc takes a lot of WP and mystics can't learn dsc and in asellus chapter u would use mystics more than humans plus dsc is not as broken as overdrive + tower magic
@@JetZPixelRipper cus what im understanding is with WP use DSC. five ppl doing DSC in one turn will probably do more damage than any combo done in one turn. On the other hand, With JP use overdrive+Tower. One of your combos with 4 ppl did like 10k damage and let’s say the fifth guy did a DSC that would be 16k damage in one turn. But if five ppl did DSC thats 6kx5=30k damage In a single turn. I’m a noob so this is as far as I know lol

@@JetZPixelRipper I divide attacks that require multiple ppl by the amount of ppl required to preform the attack. So if two ppl, divide the damage by two. The result equals to how much damage per a person.

So far i got DSC on Red, Fuse, Gen, Liza and Emilia. It's so powerful specially after Victory Rune.
