    Can I also set the heating power? In my case, for example, 0-24 V corresponds to 100 - 0% power.

      It is possible, but there needs some changes

    Very good tutorial. Thank you for it. I want to try it, but with DHT22 sensor with integrated resistance. I'm not a programmer, that's why I ask: if I change, in Yaml code, ntc_vcc with DHT22, is it enough?

      Thank you a lot.
      There is no need to change anything.

    Would it be a decent idea to use, for instance Zigbee temp sensors for room temp and also temps at intake and at the first heat/ac output vent, then use Shelly’s or some multi dry contact relay board to control the fan, compressor, reversing, etc to make a thermostat? I realize it would be more expensive, but could be done with just templating and without soldiering or programming. I’m not at all saying you should have done this, just interested in your opinion.

      I don't suggest using it or not, this video is just a tutorial. using this model really depends on your situations and choices.

    Thanks for the video. I dont see in the code where AC compressor protect would be. As you know you cannot turn ON the AC compressor immediately after it went OFF as you risk destroying it. All hardware thermostat have delay of 1min+ implemented for this. Can you point us where in the code this triggers?

      Hi, you are welcome. May I know what do you want to control?

      @@kian.smarthome Air Conditioning system at home. The thermostat that came with the house has this delay. So that if you were to turn off the AC (while the compressor was on) and switched it back on the AC compressor will not run for about a minute. I forgot what this delay is called but if one were to start AC too soon again the compressor may get damaged.

      @@arp_catchall I see. So just a delay for a relay is enough, Am I right?

      @arp_catchall Рік тому

      @@kian.smarthome Yes, delay thats triggered each time power is out, board resets, or switched off (while "cool" is set).

    Very helpful, thank you. Any diagram for the wiring? And where in the script do you define the led to know if heating and / or cooling is turned on?

    can this be connected to our AC unit to automatically control the AC settings
