Absolutely gorgeous
Amazing base, I'm gonna watch the whole series for sure 😋
This is a great source of inspiration!
Nice one, Andy and amazing work. Thank you for sharing your insights.
Very creative!
This video couldn't come at a better time. Been staring at a empty plinth for my batpacker by bold miniatures. I'm now off to go find some wood
This has given me so many great ideas 👌🏼 keep them coming 😁
Outstanding. What a great video.
Can't get enough of your content. Thank you for sharing. One of my favorite channels.
I cant help but see a face in the dark sport of the big tree. Great job on the base.
Looks amazing and love the narration!
Looking forward to the rest of the series!
Absolutely fascinating tutorial mate really inspiring stuff
Awesome video, Andi. Especially liked the intro, where you talked about your inspiration for this pieced while showing the real world pictures of nature
I have puchased the Green Knight from Echoes of Kamelot. Sure this tutorial will be a huge source of inspiration. Thank you for the share
awesome, thank you
Very much looking forward to the next part. The 3d backdrop is something i have wanted to try.
Looking really cool! Can't wait for the next installment!!
This is amazing! Ty for sharing your process and can’t wait for the next one!
Looks amazing m8ty, a absolutely stunning job on the base/backdrop.
Well, mate, you may be dead certain that I'm looking forward for next parts!
So cool! Can’t wait to see more of this
Adore this. More videos like this, please! So inspiring and motivating to see the whole process! Thank you!
Awesome
Perfect timing, just got this mini this week and was looking for some base inspiration !
The mini looks amazing unpainted... fantastic!
What a well thought, well made and beatifully executed video. I know the base of the figure is the important part of the video, but the outdoor takes and your intro explaining your inspiration, was really enjoyable.
Thanks Andy! Hyped to see the rest of the videos :D
Oh man, i really enjoyed this. Your thought process through the whole thing was interesting, and i think the base looks incredible. Looking forward to the next parts for sure!
Great Video. Thanks for that. Am I the only one who sees a half skull in the left tree?
Great video, can't wait for the Kickstarter rewards to arrive
I got mine, was actually thinking of a “Wilderness vs civilisation” kind of Diorama between him and the “samurai”, the indication being the Excutioner striding out with what remains of its last patrol, a head. I do need to up my basing game though, so this video would is most useful.
This is so epic!! Thanks for showing how you do this... I always have a problem with making nature scenes look chaotic. This will help a lot!
this is awesome
i presume he doesnt do much running through these dense forests haha, it would be like a dog with a large stick trying to get through a door.
Was so happy to get my kickstarter a couple of weeks ago and am likewise a little intimidated to get started. Having not used plinths before but I got some woth the ks interested as to why you had tape on the base at the start of the process then took it off??
Exceptional work on the base, inspiring. I am curious to know how you will decide on the lighting effects for this mini, dusk, dark shadows from the forest with brighter light coming out to the river area? Will love following this series, these minis look so awesome.
What did you use for the moss andy? It looks so stunning
Looks like the same stuff I got from Mininatur. It is really nice and flat. Bit would not be surprised if another manufacturer (like Gamer Grass) made something roughly the same.
This was great! Do you have a link to the tufts you used? They look so good!
Great video. Are you guys going to do one for the Heargeard bust by Rodrigo?
Excellent!! Just a question, do you treat the wood/branches at all to use for figure painting ??
Man you are such an inspiration. Thank you a lot for those videos. I'm looking forward to get to that level of composition ! Can I ask what you offer in your Patreon ? Is there some other content, or is it the same but with the subject seen in depth ? Thx !
did you sterilise or treat the wood in any way before using it?
I didn’t like this, I loved it! Love the insight into your process too, has lots of ideas churning about in my head too! Can’t wait for the next one!
Great tutorial! Quick question, will the Deorgard models be available outside of the kickstarter? Just recieved my Sceotend and seriously regretting not getting the full set
Great video! Can you tell us where the plinth is from? Did you make it from scratch or is it store bought? Thanks in advance. Cheers.
: )
Where can I get 1 of these backdrop plinths?
Are you putting out the figs and busts for normal sale. Or was it just the kickstarter
They will all go on general sale, once the last few backers have received theirs.
Looks great! If you hadn’t told us it was new to you…I’d never had guessed. It’s quite brave to allow us to see your humility.
