    Amazing job, my dude!
    I feel like this is a huge factor that separate large shops that don't care about one single job and will ultimately half-ass it; and passionate enthusiast like yourself that spend DAYS attempting to get it perfect as if it were going onto your own car! Now I'm not saying that larger shops won't do great work but the dedication you show towards your projects is just incredible! Top-notch!
    Keep up the great work both in the shop and with your videos!

    Another hilarious intro 🤣. Respect on showing your flaws man. I can definitely appreciate that. Did you guys test fit the kit at all? I never used a flex agent. I only heard of using it in the clear coat mainly for installation purposes. Also heard it evaporators after 3to 6 months. But I guess it will hold being that you put it in the base coat and sealed it over with the clear coat. One last thing, did you sand the primer? Figured you guide coat it to catch those fish eyes. Could of maybe just sealed it with a sealer.

    I've had nothing but issues with bulldog in the last few years man. Especially in a puff can. After a bunch of times I tried it in a quart and it was still hit or miss. Switched to a cheaper shopline promoter (SU470LV) or (SEM 39861) if they dont have any of the shopline on hand. I haven't had an issue since. Been using it for a yr or so now. If you have a local paint only supply try them out next time you get the chance.

    Prepping raw plastics like that theres always a few things to consider... what type of plastic, do a "float test" to see if you need promoter or not... I have used Comet to prep similar raw plastics, the cleaning agent and maroon scuff pad is used to remove the moulding release agent used in the manufacturing process, and give a mechanical adhesion as well as chemical...

    Hey Bode! Quick question.. I'm about to paint my KBD Kit and I wanted to ask, did you use flex additive in the primer or did you use a specific primer? If you did add it what was the mix ratio. Thanks man. Side note... I'm painting tomorrow so please reply quick if possible!

    • @BodeVision
      @BodeVision  5 років тому +1

      hopefully i got back in time! Ajax is a must!!! Clean it really good until water doesnt bead off of it. IT WILL BE HORRIBLE IF NOT!. Also i dont care for flex additives, just do good prep work.

    • @ChromeCowboyGaming
      @ChromeCowboyGaming 5 років тому

      @@BodeVision I'm not gonna lie man idk wth happen with mine. I washed each piece down 4 times with ajax with bleach with a scotch brite pad but before this wiped every piece down with acetone. Then finally shot my primer and it was just instant fisheye everywhere, but I just rolled with it. I kept coating the primer on until it laid nice then wet sanded it smooth. So then I though since I have the primer on nice and flat I was good right? Wrong lol. I wiped the kit down with wax and grease remover then wet for paint.. fisheye everywhere. I dont even know how it went that wrong but yeah.. I do greatly appreciate your help though.
