- In this episode, after leaving behind our roaming rickshaw Rusty in South India, we decide to fly from Chennai to Delhi. We have one full day to explore this incredibly busy and overwhelming city. Along with eating delicious Indian food, we explore the Akshardham temple, then the Red Fort & Chandni Chowk Spice Markets in Old Delhi. We then move onto the Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, India Gate & the Lotus Temple before calling it a day.

loved this video ,India has so many contrasts .
you certainly get a culture shock when arriving in Delhi, it is something that cannot be described.
foreigners need to learn to say a strict '' NO '' without any hesitation if they are coming to India
A large number of budget tourists stay in Old delhi... Old Delhi is famous for its cheap and best wedding shopping and of course spicy food.. But its chaotic and not for biggners... 😊
Yes it was definitely a bit overwhelming at first!

Bro you just covered 25% of attractions in Delhi in a day thats awesome. The guide earphones would have made a huge difference. Quatab minar and lodhi gardens are my favourite.
Well that was jam-packed for one day. You hit up some of the major sites. Well done. Hope you get your foot healed, as you put your steps in, for a week.
It was definitely a whirlwind but we loved every minute of it!
@@TheRoamingPickels Glad to hear.
I am from different part of India and I also get overwhelmed by the chaotic rush and crowd in old delhi😅
Vlog is very well edited.
Nice “true picture” and experience video- well done and great job persevering thru all the stimulation 😂. Watching you from the USA and we’re planning to do the North India trip you guys are doing - the “triangle” thing I think it’s called… I think red fort was built by the same emperor who built the Taj. Looking forward to your next videos thru india.
Yes we didn't do the complete "Triangle" experience but we do Delhi, Taj Mahal and Varanasi instead
Delhi = shithole
Well done you two, merry Christmas and a happy new year and a wonderful life together. Pop few prawns on the barbie and have a few tinnies and think of us up here in the cold, drinking spiced wine and egg nog cocktails Love and peace from Cordu and John
Merry Christmas John and Cordu! We will be sure to have a great day spending it with friends and family and we will be thinking of you two up there in the cold surrounded by snow I'm guessing enjoying your day. Hopefully Santa brought you plenty of presents 🎁! Keep living the dream guys 👍
Awesome video guys, such friendly people .
We loved meeting so many friendly people in Delhi! 😊
glad to see u in india please avoid cheap places hottles etc i hope u enjoy
That was lovely... We were in Delhi in March, great to revisit with you two. But all in one day, wow. We were there five or six days all together. The spice market was one of my personal favourites, soo amazing and a great photo opportunity. We went there early after having visited the great Mosque. Everything was really quiet there till about 10 am. Quite a good way to ease into otherwise frantic Old Delhi. And the Metro is brilliant, you are right. I'm looking forward to see more of your travels, assuming that you are back in Australia by now. Merry Christmas 🎄.
Yes our day was certainly jam packed! We actually filmed this footage in March 2024 as well. We are back in Australia now but stay tuned for many more videos still yet to come out as we move onto Malaysia 🇲🇾, Philippines 🇵🇭, Vietnam 🇻🇳, Cambodia 🇰🇭, Thailand 🇹🇭, Laos 🇱🇦 and then Indonesia 🇮🇩.
@@TheRoamingPickels Brilliant... Oh man, end of March was just so hot in Delhi, wasn't it... Looking forward to see how your journey continues.
❤ great vlog guys
Thankyou! 😊
There are many hill stations ,heritage places in southern India Kerala karnataka Maharashtra Rajastan Gujrat
avoid crowded city areas
Go to the first floor at new delhi railway station which has a separate ticket booking window for foreign visitors.
You can book "Foreign Tourist Quota" train tickets at New Delhi station...
Walk into an Indian hospital, OPD treatments are very affordable.
@05:50 Did you say hot? When did you shoot this video? I got here in Delhi from Brisbane thinking its the same hot but it is freezing cold at the moment.
Apologies, this footage was filmed in March 2024
A little tip for the hawkers, beggars etc...........BE STERN!
Be stern, and almost rude, if need be, when u say "No". Trust me, they don't understand it any other way. They'll keep pushing and pushing until u cave, unless u're really stern and straightforward with your reply. And those beggars are usually fake, so don't be polite or something.
And don't use full sentences and stuff, cuz they don't understand English very well, especially in ur accent: Just say "NO!!!" sternly and clearly and walk away. Don't smile at them, etc, they just need to see any "weakness" and they'll keep pestering you even when u've clearly made them understand that u're not interested. Same for the ppl asking for photos: Be a little more polite to them cuz they'll be startled otherwise, but again, be clear, and stern. Don't assume it's dissrespectful to be like this. They have no respect for others' time.
This is THE WAY.
(coming from an Indian)
Another tip for the "autos": Ask someone local what the per-km fare is, so u don't get scammed by some of them. It's shameful that this happens, but it does. So, do that......or just use Uber, Ola, etc on ur phone to get around.
Thanks for the info! 😊
Delhi is a shithole
I mostly wear Skechers slip-in shoes, when we visit India. Foam memory is very good for your feet, when walking far. It’s an American company, not sure whether it’s available in Australia?
It’s available in India too, just in case it’s not in Australia, u can also buy it in India after landing. PS I wear them too, good shoes.
Skechers are great shoes and are definitely available in Australia 😊
Delhi = shithole
I did tell you in your previous video that you should avoid those congested old areas of Delhi! Leaves a bad taste after an exciting south India tour.
If you ask me, you should have spent all 12 months in India. 😅 Just saying that you won't regret it.
The reason you need a guide
Those guys are not 'friendly'. They are just using you for selfies/videos esp of women.
If laws didn't exist, you would see what 'friendly' things they would do.
Forener in india ❌.
Chakkon ki toli in India ☑️.
Because grow UA-cam chanel 😂.
You wanted to travel North India and Delhi is what you chose 😂😂
N then Chandni chowk
Delhi = shithole
Delhi is city overwhelmed with migrants. Majority population is migrant and city is old. What were you expecting?
