CDs by her or featuring her listed on Amazon Japan (all currently unavailable) are: 妖怪道中肘桃毛 橘 -Tachibana- CHU-略 筝-koto- I have the last one listed, which was her first album and features Tori no you ni (Like a Bird) with orchestral accompaniment as the 8th and last track. The cover shows a young Hiroe (about 15, if I remember correctly) sort of peaking out from behind her koto that she's holding upright. It created quite a buzz in the Sawai community in Tokyo at the time. The highlight of the album for me is the first 5 tracks which feature Yomigaeru itsutsu no uta (Five songs of regeneration (my translation; I don't know if there's an official one)), which previously had been available only performed by Sawai Tadao on a hyper-expensive set of videos sold only to members of the Sawai school.
Mostly when this tune is performed, it is done with technical skill but without any passion. Thank you for adding passion some into it ! ! ! Music should never be without it...
There are two CD's by 森川 浩恵 (hiroe morikawa) that I could find: 1 brown cover with Romaji Koto and Hiroe Morikawa on the cover, label victor entertainment. date 2002, May be out of print but still available at least on amazon japan The 8th track is 鳥のように (like a bird) The 2nd album has a black cover with tulips on it and Romaji hougaru new wave also on the victor entertainment label date 2003 Like a bird is not in it's track listings Hope that helps
Great video, really well done! Take a look at the one I sent you when you have some time! Its another rendition of "Like a Bird" with Indian violin also.
nvm, you said "fragment" i guess i should read the description first. anyway, the 2nd half is where the real craziness happens, would love to have seen her play it.

Thank you for the version with violin - very different, gentle sound!
