An early Golf? Seriously?!!! The Golf came out in the 70s. This is a Karmann Ghia. Since LA is such a paradise, maybe you should try and freshen up your car knowledge :) I would love to see that car park!
I followed to process of making first one in Germany, alias FURUSATO (means Homeland). Owned by Sidney Hoffman, prettY nice guy. If you like Porsche's and know a bit of german lang. check him out on yt (search for SIDNEY INDUSTRIES)
The 383 stroker in this thing probably weighs 50-100 pounds more than the original. It will rev out from 6500 to 8500 rpm depending on the internals. The cheap cost for parts on a sbc here in the states is also a factor. I agree it doesn't seem very Porsche..
Trillions like and best comment for you because you are best on Earth and follower respect you,we need videos in FullHD ,4K,8K 120fps and Sound in FullHD 3D.
appreciate you always showing fun cars. especially nice to see you having great time seeing other people having great time with their cars. i know it helps driving cars you are happy with because i feel the same way. who cares what other people do to their cars. a man prefers another builder, the other hates engine swap done here. who cares. i’ve lived a long time and have never seen a guy trash talk other people’s car when he dives nice cars, never. just because there is no need for it. think singer owners come here and say their cars better? never because they are smarter and knows their cars are five times more expensive than the car shown here. and of course too few of them, too. people criticizing other people’s possessions. know this. it’s really obvious to everyone that you guys are really bitter about your life and especially about your cars for doing this. economy must be tough because there are too many of those in the net. oh, it’s feels good to call bitter poor people bitter poor people. didn’t know that till now.
Love the fuel injection system on the Vette! Would love to see that on the new vette, or a V8 replace on a Porsche. Just not on my '97 Targa. Original and stock.
That 911 sounds really wrong for a 911. Surely for the cost of that car+swap he could've bought a used 3.6L 997 GT3 which is also about 400hp but would be better in every way except burnouts.
Why do you euro fans think v8s are only good for burnouts lol. Put it this way. You can get this v8 for under 3k with 400hp na. You would be crazy to but a flat 6 with a turbo for 12k with the same power. Its not smart.
If you are looking for cheap power in the US, get a Chevy V8. If you are looking to build your dream 911, probably most of you wouldn't pick that up. If I had enough money I would put Cayman GT4's engine and gearbox backwards
Why would you put a GT4 engine into it? The GT4 engine is a detuned Carrera S engine, just use that. If money isn't a concern use a GT3 engine that has forged internals and revs to 9000rpm. Either way you wouldn't need any weird (and maybe impossible) adaptations like you would with a GT4 engine.
Sam is going to turn into my favourite UA-camr soon. Brilliant video, beautiful shots and editing. Why can't all UA-camrs put this much effort into their videos?!
It cracks me up reading all these people cmoments crying about someone else's car. Its the dreamers that make things happen and its those who can't break out of the mold that wallow in the same old shit!
Tickle Fingers the non Porsche owning purists getting pissy over an American doing an engine swap. Ignoring Rwb being Japanese. It is rather enjoyable.
Well said Tickle Fingers it’s a badass build and I absolutely love the creativity and engineering behind this beautiful build and really like the small block much more reliable that’s for sure
I would humbly suggest, the right way to do that, would be turn it all around like a Cayman. You put a US small-block V8 where the kiddie seats were, and that'd be awesome. Leaving it out the back like the original... I'd be curious to see wheel weights on that car. US V8s are big engines in capacity, but they're fairly compact and light in weight. I think it'd weigh a bit more than a flat 6 Porker, and I'm damn sure it'd have a higher centre of gravity. I think that'd be a pretty challenging car to drive on the limit... It could be done, but it would require you to be fairly wide awake... Mind you, a 1974 Turbo with big wide wheels required you to be fairly wide awake too... In the hands of somebody who knew what they were doing, no problem, lots of fun even. But not the car for your little brother to try and drive quickly for the first time along a twisty road he didn't know...
Anonymous Someone did, on Saturday in the same colour, it was the first one in London to be spotted, I saw it when I went up there biggest surprise ever especially as I'd just got out McDonald's on Brompton Road, it was parked right next to that green huracan that's always there... the guy managed to drive this 964 RWB perfectly by harrods... Check my last video it's on there...
V8 does not belong in a 911.... sorry that is just wrong Dat Morris Minor Traveller at the end of the vid in the background also you forgot your "hello 1 and all and wlcome to seen though glaaaass!" and no intro music....
Sam another great video, I love your cinematic shots. Please could you like or reply to this comment so i know you are reading them? Thanks! Also your best work was the Pebble Beach cinematic when at the end you said, 'And thats just the car park'
An early Golf? Seriously?!!! The Golf came out in the 70s. This is a Karmann Ghia. Since LA is such a paradise, maybe you should try and freshen up your car knowledge :) I would love to see that car park!
karmann ghia type 34 (:
It was a joke ffs. No sense of humour?
Somebody forgot to take his medicine again...
I don't think that was a joke lol
Hope you never leave Cali.. The content is awesome
Unfortunately, RWB has builds everywhere and is a disgrace to the Porsche name.
Very cool. Like those Porsche V8 conversions quite a bit.
every RWB 911 is Custom Made. Nakai San's masterpiece
houSe-M- yep
I saw the last one he built in NJ it's crazy.
houSe-M- not all of them have a v8 though
I followed to process of making first one in Germany, alias FURUSATO (means Homeland). Owned by Sidney Hoffman, prettY nice guy. If you like Porsche's and know a bit of german lang. check him out on yt (search for SIDNEY INDUSTRIES)
you do the engine. Nakai does bodykit only
The car looks absolutely mental and I like that a lot! The V8 just adds to the craziness too!
Porsche is cool, but I wanna see more of that Vette!
Why the Fuck do you put an v8 into an 911 :(
Because 'you' are a fool! Stupid idea, silly car.
Because 'murica. It's the answer to every single engine problem in ANY car. LS swap it.
The 383 stroker in this thing probably weighs 50-100 pounds more than the original. It will rev out from 6500 to 8500 rpm depending on the internals. The cheap cost for parts on a sbc here in the states is also a factor. I agree it doesn't seem very Porsche..
Absolutely F...ed up... :-(
I had s ride in a rwb
That RWB looked and sounded savage! Interesting engine choice.
I was there that day and talked to you. You were very nice to talk to and I am so glad that you stopped by again.
This video just makes me feel good. Crisp shots, beautiful cars, sunshine and nice tunes! :)
That look and sound go together perfectly.
sam, youre killing every other car youtuber with this epic content, im loving it.
Trillions like and best comment for you because you are best on Earth and follower respect you,we need videos in FullHD ,4K,8K 120fps and Sound in FullHD 3D.
That 60s Corvette was sweet. Love the modern touches to older cars.
Didn't think I'd say this but it sounds Amazing!
Your filming and editing is as awesome as the Porsche
SO EIN FREFEL! Das ist schon Majestätsbeleidigung! NO WAY!
THAT CAR IS MENTAL!!!!
When the title said "V8", I was thinking LS.. Surprised the hell out of me, lol.

I already know this is going to be a good video
Nice Porsche, wish someone here in Germany had the balls to LS a 993 or a 964 :D
If I hear anymore royalty free vaporwave music in car youtubers videos I will go insane!
haha that spoiler! absolutely insane. love a gratuitous build
Where is the LOVE button when you need it?
Never thought about a 911 will ever sound like that.
Amazing cars amazing tracks amazing host ! Love it
911 sounds incredible!! Nice vid bud. 🔊
Filming and editing quality is so good!
Love the fuel injection system on the Vette! Would love to see that on the new vette, or a V8 replace on a Porsche. Just not on my '97 Targa. Original and stock.
the want is big with that Porsche RWB
that first volkswagen was a karmann ghia
it's a shame that a dude who does car videos knows so little about cars...
He has little interest in classics. Actually most supercar youtubers are more or less in the same way.
Spencer Cheng it wasn't a ghia
Inner Hammer unless it's a classic supercar (e.g F40, Countach etc), that is.
It was a type 3 razor edge Karmann Ghia
That 911 sounds really wrong for a 911. Surely for the cost of that car+swap he could've bought a used 3.6L 997 GT3 which is also about 400hp but would be better in every way except burnouts.
Ian Hobday but as always the phrase applies built not bought!!!!
Projects can be fun but some make more objective sense than others. To each their own, of course.

yooo ur on a roll with these vids, keep it goin
This was a refreshing change. More cool classics please! Give me a shout if you want a few laps in an E30 M3?
The coolest color on a rwb
It cracks me up reading all these people cmoments crying about someone else's car. Its the dreamers that make things happen and its those who can't break out of the mold that wallow in the same old shit!

Laughable comment... Chevy v8s are in everything... it is as unoriginal as you can get. Now it sounds like a Suburban with a mild build and exhaust.
I love it... It seems like an idea straight out of Forza
pretty nice fotage for 1080p. what cam is this?
I love the sound of a hopped up Chevy Suburban.
I'am I the only one that really likes that song ?
I like it
maxime clincke you are not the only one
Love the song
what is the song ?
darude~sandstorm
its got 180 degree headers. sounds awesome
Hey Sam, there is a Similar 964 RWB in London, which was completed by Nakai san in the summer although that one has its original engine in it.
Sam you really need some bits of Lotus in your life
Your videos are just so nice Sam! I can't understand why u don't have more subs!!!
That GTR is so sick
The LA content is serious! You should stay out there longer dude!
It's kinda weird to hear a V8 muscle car sound coming out from a Porsche lol
Looks Sounds strange if that makes any sense lol
Next project is putting a v8 Mustang in a Ferrari Testarossa with some crazy wheel arches and huge back spoiler . . .
Yes, that would be incredible! With some under glow lighting as well!!!!
I would humbly suggest, the right way to do that, would be turn it all around like a Cayman. You put a US small-block V8 where the kiddie seats were, and that'd be awesome. Waau that 911 a beast to behold
Rwbs are a beauty on wheel
3:18 literally sounds like a lion..Thing is a beast
Glad I stumbled upon your videos, subscribed. Couldn't take SoL
I bet my homie Eddie would love that RICED out 911
what a life you must have.
The 911 is too small. Just get a Semi so that you and Nissan can fit.
Awesome cars!
Trying to drive that Porsche in London would be a nightmare
Anonymous Someone did, on Saturday in the same colour, it was the first one in London to be spotted, I saw it when I went up there biggest surprise ever especially as I'd just got out McDonald's on Brompton Road, it was parked right next to that green huracan that's always there... the guy managed to drive this 964 RWB perfectly by harrods... Anonymous trying to drive any car into London is a nightmare
i hate porches but this one sounds and looks the best porsche ever
idk why i get annoyed when older 911s have been engine swapped
Quality content, keep up the great work!
How is that car sooo bright? How do you mix paint that glows like that?
Nakai is king!
Greeeeeat content! keep it that style
The Volkswagen at the start of the video that you thought was an early golf is a Type 34 Karmann Ghia Razor Edge
So that was all factory made? Thought it was a 'custom' Karmann Ghia, like most of the cars in the US are 'custom' one way or another.
Yes, the Volkswagen Type 34 Karmann Ghia's were factory made
Getting those 300 USD
oops wrong channel
They should have got a 911 4.0 engine in it
David Best Isn't pretty expensive? it doesn't seem worth it.
Yea its not worth it..Why can't you understand that people want to actually go fast for a low price
That GT3 Porsche 4.0 engine would be about 35K or more. It would be a very bad choice and you are not getting very much for your dollar.
The 911 4.0 engine is very expensive and low on power.
Beautiful
Thanks sam
You just got a new subscriber!😄
No "Hello one and all ...."??? I had to watch it again because I was waiting for the greeting phrase.
Nakai-San did a good job
Ditch the whale wing and swap in an LS6. Pretty damn rad though!
what did you use to shoot this with, everything is so crisp!
Hey are you gonna come to San Francisco anytime soon? If you do let me know, you can do a review on my 2017 Mustang GT performance pack. Nelly
I've noticed a lot of builders puttinf LS motors in these cars
the vw in the beginning is the karmann ghia :)
The 360cs is my dream car.
Maybe an RWB 911 should be your next car Sam.
I love to see a rotary engine in a rwb
V8 does not belong in a 911.... sorry that is just wrong
Dat Morris Minor Traveller at the end of the vid in the background
also you forgot your "hello 1 and all and wlcome to seen though glaaaass!" and no intro music....
Still waiting to see what his next car will be!
love the 911 starting to get burnt out on rwb.Hate the chevy motor although it sounds really good.
great like always :-)
Putting a chevy engine in a porshe is like putting sardines on vanilla ice cream.
What music starts the video, I know it's by Arcade Fighters.
Sam do you use a slider for your camera? Or do you just have a ridiculously steady hand? Haha
Ignore the Porsche purist haters in the comments, that's a wicked build!!!
Hey Sam, Casey called he wants his mix tape cd back!
Sam another great video, I love your cinematic shots. Please could you like or reply to this comment so i know you are reading them? Thanks! Also your best work was the Pebble Beach cinematic when at the end you said, 'And thats just the car park'
Isn't that the same single Stradale participating in different car meets?
a beautiful 911, though I'm sure a true Porsche guy would think that's sacrilege putting a 383 in it.
Budy now that you are in L.A do try to visit Jay Leno's place it is the place to be!!
That VW is a type 3 Karmann Ghia - known as the "Razor Edge"
Porsche..should have put an LS7 engine..not a 350 chevy ported to a 383! Old technology engine
Gonna drive any trucks whilst out there Sam?
Does anybody know where this cars & coffee is at?
Sam, what camera do you use?
OMG i just made a mess all over my keyboard ;-D
The Alfa Romeo is a rebel
