I greatly respect that you decided against making a joke and stuck to your guns on that. I know it sucks to cut stuff when you put effort into it, but When a joke isn't good for whatever reason, I respect that you are willing to make those cuts.
That is assuming the joke *isn't* that it was cut. Think about it: any joke about Aztec party they could make would never be as funny as one in peoples minds so, why not just put a simple text on screen saying "we cut this joke", letting people fill in how humorously inapproriate it is? It's like the joke: What do you call an arab flying a plane? A pilot. What did you expect, you racist?

This game involves placing 3d pieces for points to control areas (in a more typical area control method) but you must consider movement of your central player piece which is restricted by building placement.
Not trying to justify what the Spanish conquistadors did, but the Aztecs weren't exactly nice, terrorizing other Mesoamerican city states and making tens of thousands of gruesome human sacrifices. Some city states like Tlaxcala joined Cortez and helped him take Tenochtitlan in 1521.

About Tenochtitlan, there was no genocide. There was a war. Spaniards won in alliance with the tlaxcaltecas and others mexica's enemies people. Mexicas lost, were almost annihilated and spanish and tlaxcaltecas took their place. So if you are from Mexico City, it's probably that you descend from spanish, tlaxcaltecas or both.

Nice review. But with the point of the spanish destroying the city and genocide is not intierly correct. Although the spanish were the reason it happend they were only with around 500 conquistadores. Most of the army consisted of natives from vassals of the aztecs. These vassals were unhappy with the aztecs thus the reason they helped. And this i dont know for certain but i believe the killing was mostly done by the natives themself.
