We talked about her experiences of working in CS and League of Legends, her path to becoming one of the most beloved hosts in esports as well as being inspired by the HLTV Awards to create her own "The League Awards" alongside Caedrel.

    I was just thinking about Sjokz during the Blast tournament, I really miss seeing her in cs events!! She is so well spoken and an absolute queen, so glad to hear from her again as I don't watch League ❤

      she's not commonly invited to Blast events for some reason (although she said in the interview she was in some 2019 Blast events), but i feel she's guaranteed to be on at least one ESL event per year, like at Katowice soon and she could possibly be at Cologne later in the year

      I agree she's a GOAT, but it's not a brand name or a product name, esports is an english word. English words don't have capital letters in the middle.

    I actually think that sjokz is really close to being a mainstay in CS in terms of talent. I think she's on the same tier as launders and scrawny last year where they were getting some casting gigs on bigger and bigger events and have shown their talent at being the hosts of a wonderful viewing experience. I think sjokz doesn't know we enjoy her presence more than she thinks we do. I emplore her to take more CS gigs because I think the scene is better for it.

    Imo e-sports is a kind of new child on the block and because of this make its own brand of broadcasting. Dont try and copy other brodcasts like inside the nba.. Look at what works, banter and connectiom to players, but at the same time give the fan, they are all "nerdy" and really into the game, deep dives into some key moments from the game. One of the best sports broadcasts in the recent years, cbs golazo, is doing that and it makes the viewer feel like they are watching their buddies on a sofa talking some smack but also bring out really important points to watch out for.
    One of the coolest tournaments in cs history (my opinion) was cs_summit, because that felt, as a viewer, like a group of buddies talking about the games and just having the players join in kind of randomly and having jokes with them makes it just feel as if you get a connection with the whole thing better.

      @@x.nihilo Sjokz is freelance talent so she’s not directly part of Riot. Just like Machine, who’s hosted several League tournaments. Also the last major was in China and organized by a Chinese esports company? I won’t argue that Riot is “copying” other games but competition is a good thing.

    • @x.nihilo
      @x.nihilo 13 днів тому

      @@Laloo-bl6gi idk... I personally don't respect anyone involved with Riot. It's one thing to host a major like Valve did in China to expand their market reach, and I would say it's something completly different to have your money come directly from China's inhumane practices (child labor, gulags, and what have you)
