I love how you often used square dimensions for your support members. Keeps the math simple. Also, the extra length of your wood screws will add strength and prevent movement of the screws. Very clean build compared to others I've seen.
That's wicked. Im gonna build my own too. Gonna buikdan ice hut too. So i have both with skies on the sides where its held up by. F it ya live once live it good ❤😊
Dude keep going, I need to see more of this build. Maybe explain some stuff, give some Dimensions, I'm excited to see where this build is going, so far it looks great...
Merci beaucoup
Ok. Obviously these guys did great work. Absolutely awesome. The majority of builds I've seen on UA-cam really look disposable. This one by far is the most labor intensive, I have no idea what the structure weighs, it does appear to be a little on the heavier side. All in all. Fantastic job guys 👍
Hey mike, thank you so much. We put a lot of effort into this build and we still do.. The camper has has been on the road for around 20'000km and we're doing fine. With the added solar system and compressor coolbox we are looking at around 550kg total. This includes everything besides food, water and clothing.
Looking good - finally some glue😍👍 Are the screws used self taping or are you predrilling? Armaflex is interesting looking, a bit expensive here in canada but environmentally friendly. Cheers
i did not predrill anything so far. The armaflex stuff is really pricey too over here. i used armaflex in my first diy camper too and it really does its job.
hey thanks, had to use google translate on this one. no license needed in our country, but i need to follow a few rules. not sure what's that like in greece..
@@TruckHomeSwitzerland thanks! if possible, the other question I had was how did you mount the rings to your camper frame that you used to attach to the truck bed?
It would be too heavy when fully loaded.. but i removed the rear bench and middle seat in the cab, overroll bars, tailgate and trailer hitch. This gives me 130 kg extra. The empty camper is around 360kg.
Nice .. I’m making a truck camper too… yours is coming along nicely

thank you, i will do some explaining about dimensions, future ideas and cost of the build once the camper is finished

Hopp Aarau !
Nice Dakota build. I was wondering why you offset certain beams from each other in the main structure.
The reason to offset certain frame members is simply to have a straight line of sight for the screw to enter, rather than toenailing on an angle.
Unlike so many other videos, I'm diggin this music. Oh, and nice camper build. 😁
Is that fiberglass with plain paint over the top? Veey few builders use it. I think it would be better than just plywood.
I have a 2007 Dakota and am looking for ideas. Thanks for posting.
Next time, lose the music.
Hi. What tool where you using to cut off excess plywood flush to your framework. Thanks. Jase from NZ
It looks like a Oscillating Multi-Tool
This design has a great shape. What’s the approx dry weight?
Thanks. Its gonna be around 300-350kg..
VIDEO BACANA DE VCS, DEUS ABENÇOE SEMPRE
Keine kältebrucke 👍🏻!
Desculpa minha ignorância, mas é resistente a chuva ?
Looking good - finally some glue😍👍

De quel façon tu attache ton campeur à ton camion ?
No glue?
Your dad is bad ass!
better swiss folk music than what u have in the background.!
For all that wood, you may have to upgrade your brakes and suspension.
How much did this cost to make?
Boa noite qual foi o peso final camper terminado
hey @TRUCKHOMESWITZERLAND which beams were 2x3? Thanks!
Hey justin, all beams are 4×4cm besides the long ones going from the back to the end of the cabover section, those are 4×6cm
@@TruckHomeSwitzerland thanks! if possible, the other question I had was how did you mount the rings to your camper frame that you used to attach to the truck bed?
Part 3 plz
What size wood is that
Is there any plans I can purchase ? I am a 65 year old women and need plans I can build just need plans
Hello , could you tell me how heavy it is ? Thank you .
Hey robert, its around 350kg including electrical installation + diesel heater. With matress, camping gear, water ect its around 450kg
Gracias
is that 1/2 inch plywood ?
This is 8mm albasia plywood
Should have use woodglue "lots if it "& sheet metal support at corners
Quanto ficou pesando no final
that's going to be heavy
what part of the world are you live?
Switzerland
2x2 framing?
It is 4×4centimeters
Isn’t it too heavy?
It would be too heavy when fully loaded.. but i removed the rear bench and middle seat in the cab, overroll bars, tailgate and trailer hitch. This gives me 130 kg extra.
The empty camper is around 360kg.
With enough vibration from road driving, those joints would come loose eventually.
For my American friends it’s 775lbs total weight he added to his truck
Nice work. Music is unbearable though.
Home built truck
2x3s would be less weight.
It will not last long, the cost of this work is the same as metal
Very annoying bgm.
