Dimash live-streamed this performance from his studio for the Tokyo Jazz Festival because of travel restrictions due to Covid 19. Even though he was in the studio, he still gave the same type of performance as if he were on stage. This only shows how committed Dimash is to giving his best performance no matter the situation. Samaltau was also performed for the Tokyo Jazz Festival.

At that time, Dimash was in China. There was still quarantine in that part of the world and traveling wasn't easy. The entire festival was done online, the hosts in the Tokyo studio announced the performers, and then there were broadcasts. Dimash performed as a guest, so he didn't sing Jazz. Also in 2020, at the Tokyo Jazz Festival, he sent two songs from the studio in Kazakhstan to the festival. He was also a guest performer then. I recommend the song Samaltau, it's in Kazakh and very beautiful. In 2019, he was in Tokyo in person. The broadcast of this song was played from one camera, the camera mainly showed the face, we joked that it was almost like at the dentist's, and the cameraman "rocked" the camera a lot. The film was on the Tokyo Jazz channel and gathered a lot of views. After a short time, this film was edited with shots from the second camera and shared on Dimash's channel and the Tokyo Jazz channel

Welcome to the world of Dimash! Dimash is the greatest vocalist known to mankind! He is proudly from Kazakhstan! He has an 8 octive range, has been known to sing in 13 different languages. He speaks 3 languages and plays 5 different instruments. He was a child prodigy that proclaimed to his parents (which are also singers) he was going to be a singer at the age of 4. He has been training since the age of 5. He has his Associates, Masters, Bachelors, and now his Doctorin in contemporary and Opera music. He is a MASTER in his craft. He has a very loyal following of his fans around the world! He calls his fans his "Dears". I feel so honored to live in the same time as Dimash. All of his performances are astounding!! Please go to his UA-cam channel Dimash Qudaibergen and watch everything he has done! He also has Pop music videos in English on his Channel. It's his world...we just live in it!❤

👉 Dimash sang Ikanaide (live and for the first time in Japanese) on the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2021(in his studio). Because of the “pandemic”, the annual Tokyo Jazz Festival took place online again. Filmmakers verify that the videos have not been edited and manipulated, so the singer sings live.
In 2020 Dimash also participated in the famous annual Tokyo Online Festival with 2 songs:
    * S.O.S. - ua-cam.com/video/WdKYDoqKLP8/v-deo.html
    * Samaltau - ua-cam.com/video/cEyLyKW-gWY/v-deo.html
The original song Ikanaide was composed in 1989 by Koji Tamaki (*1958) singer and songwriter, the lyrics come from one of his lyricists Goro Matsui.
In the same year, the song was used as the theme song for a Chinese-Japanese television series Farewell, Lixianglan, about the Japanese woman Yoshiko Yamaguchi (*1920 - † 2014) a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. However, when the war was over and she revealed her identity, she was accused of being a spy. She was deported to Japan and longed for China. Ms. Yamaguchi did not return to China until many years as deputy environment minister in the Japanese parliament. The song is a metaphor as the lyrics speak of how a person should hide what they are feeling.
Koji Tamaki sent a wonderful message to Dimash, thanking him, and praising him for singing his song in Japanese.
Vbloggers, they reacted to the original by Koji Tamaki, they are mesmerized and can't stop listening to Koji Tamaki. He wrote many wonderful melodies - you should check it out:
    Koji Tamaki 2021, Ikanaide - ua-cam.com/video/OpgnM2MccCQ/v-deo.html
Dimash's Japan Fan Club asked the famous Japanese author of lyrics of 'Ikanaide' Goro Matsui about his emotions at Dimash performance. It's one of his favorite songs:
"… I heard Dimash singing "Ikanaide" by accident. The first thing that impressed me was his crystal clear tone and expressive voice. I heard other Asian artists perform the song many times, but despite their magnificent vocal skills, none seemed to capture the true meaning of the original lyrics. In the chorus of the song, the line "Ah, Ikanaide" is repeated several times. And although these are the same words, each line has a different meaning. And it seems to me that Dimash felt it. "
In 1993, Jacky Cheung (*1961, singer and actor in Hongkong) adapted the song into Chinese Mandarin, calling it Late Autumn: ua-cam.com/video/dtM2EsgHD3M/v-deo.html
The Chinese (Autuumn Strong) and Japanese (Ikanaide/ Please, Don’t Go) versions have completely different lyrics and meanings… and of course Dimash sings both very differently:
    - The Chinese version shows the image of leaves dancing in the autumn wind as a metaphor for the passage of time, a farewell and change...sad but inevitable and irrevocable
    - The Japanese version does not want to accept the loss of a loved one, is full of pain, begs, suffers... heartbreaking.
I'm totally mesmerized by how sensitively Dimash differentiates and conveys to the listener the feelings of sadness and loneliness in the Chinese version and loss and pain in the Japanese version. Even his whispers and his breath are music... it breaks my heart and the tears flow... and at the end everyone suddenly holds their breath, we hear Dimash breathing, then a deep and comforting hum.
I've never heard anything like that from other singers in my entire life. Only Dimash can do that. This is true mastery.
    * The most famous interpretation In China (first performance at the Singer 2017) was that of Dimash Qudaibergen and it was his first time to sing in Chinese mandarin: Autuumn Strong - ua-cam.com/video/Kmi2cVijdMo/v-deo.html
This song brought Dimash the 'Best Foreign Singer' award at the Golden Melody Award 2017 (equivalent to the Grammy) in Hong Kong.
    * Great performance (Chinese version) of Dimash from Kiev 11.03.2020, the last concert before Corona paralyzed everything: Autumn Strong - ua-cam.com/video/437IEsDIZfE/v-deo.html
    * Other version by Dimash: In Moscow on March, 2019 - Autumn Strong - ua-cam.com/video/-ewR8Boc21I/v-deo.html
(Thanks to all Dears who helped to complete the information)

Ikanaide was originally a Japanese song which Dimash sang back in 2017 at the I Am Singer in China in Mandarin, I think, and it was called Autumn Strong. He was very sick at the time with a throat infection that he went and got about 3 injections into his throat for in order to sing it,and he had still lost his voice up until he was on stage, and then of course he killed it as if nothing was wrong at all.
He sang this also in Ukraine, and astounded everyone in the last half. This was his last concert before Covid stopped his Arnau Tour. Also in this concert was Marigolds with his mum in the front row for Mother's Day, a standing ovation, and Know done as Vocalese with no words.

Hello guys. Dimash learning technique for learning songs in different languages is done phonetically. Don't know how he does it 😊 I would say he has the mind of a genius. He sings in about 15 or 16 different languages now. Who else can do this. Or would take the time to learn another culture's language so that they could show their respect. As far as I know only Dimash does. Thank you for your great reactions. Looking forward to seeing more. Greetings from North Carolina. Have a great day and be safe.

This song was already written in Japanese by Goro Matsui and Koji Tamaki in 1989, in remembrance of a beloved Chinese actress of Japanese descent. (Gloria Wu on YT did a behind the song video that gives a clear explanation). When the Chinese found out her background after WWII, they banished her from China thinking she helped the Japanese.
The word “Ikanaide” means “don’t go.” When this song was translated to Chinese, they changed the wording so the meaning isn’t quite the same. The Chinese version doesn’t use the words “don’t go.”
The rules for the Tokyo Jazz Festival is strict and all recordings must be done “live”. Although Dimash had to sing in his studio due to COVID, Japan sent two cameramen to tape his live performance. They were amazed that Dimash could do this in one take, and there is a Japanese news article where these cameramen described their experience (if you check Japanese reactors, one of them talks about the report). If interested, Tamaki also has a channel on YT where he sings this song. Of course, being biased, I prefer this beautiful version by Dimash.
Sorry for the long comment, but hope this answered your question about the Japanese lyrics. Dimash did a superb job as even the Japanese reactors were impressed by his accurate pronunciation. Thanks for reacting to Dimash and to my favorite song!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Many songs Dimash sings are not written by him. Some are, of course. Some are written for him, by famous composers. This song in particular is composed by Koji Tamaki, a Japanese artist. Lyrics by Goro Matsui in 1989. Before Dimash was born. And there is a Chinese version of this song with completely different lyrics which Dimash has also sings. He still sings the Chinese version today at his concerts. Autumn Strong is the Chinese version's name. So this performance, yes in a studio and Tokyo Jazz festival that year was virtual. So Dimash sang it in a studio. He also sang at the virtual Tokyo Jazz Festival 2020 as well in his home studio. My favorite version of Samaltau and SOS. If you want to know which songs wrote, just ask.

Hola. Deben seguir escuchando chicos. Él no decepciona. Tiene otra presentación en este festival, donde interpreta maravillosamente, en vivo en estudio, su canción Samaltau y SOS, deben verlo. Pura vida 🇨🇷❤️🇰🇿

Thank you for your reaction guys! 🙌 Kōji Tamaki is a Japanese singer-songwriter of Ikanaide and Dimash performed a previous version in Chinese called Autumn strong ua-cam.com/video/FXQ58U-Eddg/v-deo.html this song is based in a true story about Yoshiko Yamaguchi who was born in China, hid her japanese heritage under a chinese name, became very loved. After WWII, her heritage was exposed, she was arrested, accused of being a japanese spy, and sentenced to death. She was ultimately cleared of charges, but was advised to leave the country, as she risked being lynched. Dimash is a master of the story-telling, his voice makes you feel deep emotions and takes you there where that song happened. Beautiful!! A Japanese reactor mentioned that his softness with the hard consonants is a function of how well Dimash understands and has learned the mechanics (tongue and jaw placement) of the Japanese language. It's something very difficult for native English speakers to do. ❤️🎤🔝🔝🌹🌹👏👏👏👏

Dimash has natural born talrnt, yes, but his family recognized his ability when he was a toddler. His family, whi are noted musicians, and their friends provided Dimash with the education throughout his life that allowed him to destroy cello his talent to the highest possibility.

There is a mandarin version of this song called Autumn Strong, slightly different lyrics. At one concert, Dimash asks the audience which version they would like. People shouted out which one they preferred, so he said ok, I’ll sing it in Kaakh lol. But he started the song in Japanese and did a mash up with mandarin, In The Kiev concert, Dimash sings Autumn Strong and has a different spectacular ending, not the beautiful humming.

I love how he’s blended the
    🇯🇵 & 🇨🇳 songs together
with the warble in the beginning’s, and the vocalizing “Her” at the ending’s 🥺
The song writer 🎼 praised Dimash on his getting the “Ah’s” 🎶 so perfectly to what he intended they should convey in each phase👌🎤
    Well It Is Dimash‼️🤣😂💦
I also watched a Japanese reactor comment that the 🇯🇵 language is usually pronounced wrong with a hard consonant sound of most western speakers. He said that it’s different and should be weaker to get it right. He was so impressed with Dimash getting the enunciation correct ❤️🇯🇵

This version "Ikanaide" (行かないで) ) is the original, from 1989, composed by Koji Tamaki (famous Japanese singer, born in 1958) with lyrics by Goro Matsui. The version "Autumn Strong" (Late Autumn), sung in Chinese, uses the same song, but has another lyrics (Yaqui Cheung, from 1993) and another theme: It talks about the Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamagushi, very dear to the Chinese, who was deported when they discovered her Japanese origin (his real name was Li Xiang Lan and we're talking about World War II, where Japan was China's enemy) and never returned to China. In the original version, the lyrics are more intimate, sentimental and more recognized worldwide. It means: "Please don't go!".
    Grande performer

Dimash changes my soul with every performance. It gets more content. 🥰
Since there were certain global events in 2021, Tokyo Jazz was broadcast online that year. 😅
But there were some people from Japan at his studio to check if he really sang live. 😊
This is a Neumann mic (Noi-Munn)
Every one is handmade. And they are supposed to be the best. I hope so, because I want the best quality mic to capture all of Dimash’s voice. 🥰
Fun fact: They are part of the Sennheiser Group. And Sennheiser owns Dear Reality (from Düsseldorf, where he just had a concert) as well.
I can’t think of a better name for a cooperation with Dimash. Someone should tell them that they should ask him nicely. 😅😂❤
