As some one who can’t own a fire arm for multiple reasons and as well as living the van life and never stay in one state too long I love this. In some states I can’t even vary a knife. Anything that is deadly even a simple pocket knife can get me sent away even tho I did my time and haven’t been in trouble in 11 years and made only one mistake at 21. This seems like an option for me when sleeping solo all over
I think you’re moving a little backwards, because what is needed is a launcher that can easily and quickly be reloaded not one that is harder to reload and rearm. Make a more slimline unit capable of shooting “D” and Round JUL projectiles efficiently and effectively as well as easily reloaded quickly; like 1 second quick, and then you would be moving in a more forward motion. Why? You would be providing a product that is readily concealable, deployable against numerous attacker, and, if made in expensively, even if we’re say a 5 shot mag, that would enable someone to take down three or four attackers. Just FYI.
The FSC has been discontinued. There are now zero competing launchers that shoot heavy solid rounds at high velocity, without having to disassemble the launcher after 5 rounds to reload. A 12g co2 can't support more. According to the FBI five rounds or less resolve 93% of incidents. And round balls are more reliable in an emergency. Legally you can only shoot 21 ft, so no need for shaped projectiles.
The fact that I have to remember to turn the CO₂ cartridge while the shit’s getting hot makes the Gavle a nonstarter for me but I have to say that I love the 36 joule power that it provides.
I would love to see it with a magazine instead of having to pull the spring. Not ideal if having to reload in a hot situation. Also the protruding CO2 is undesirable. If it could have the CO2 fully inserted like the Byrna and a magazine I would be ecstatic. Extending the pistol grip length may allow this configuration.
Put them in first so they come out last. The spring pressure will be less likely to break them. The stiffer spring doesn't break irritant balls often. We're just being cautious. Also you can mix with the lighter spring. It's strong enough to push 3 JUL and 2 KinetiCS. Thx
Looks great guys you did an amazing job. I have the first version but haven't fired it that often but this video made me want to. Keep it up i know you guys will go far in the industry.
I was going to buy a Byrna LE, but since there were no holiday deals I held out and found this. Now, I might pick this up instead for the holiday, but in the next version I would love to see a better reloading mechanism. That’s the only thing Byrna is doing better than y’all. Also, I wouldn’t mind open carrying an air gun if it was bringing some actual heat and act as a deterrent. Just my opinion.
My wife & i both carry the byna sd. The gavil is really cool. I like it a lot. The only thing i don't like is that if you have multiple targets coming at you with knife's, you are going to need more than 5 shots. Reloading seems way too time consuming. By the time you fish out the allen key, unscrew the cap, reload, & screw the cap back in the bad guys are going to be right on top of you.
If you have multiple assailants coming at you with knives you’re screwed. Watch some videos on knives attacks, even with a fire arm you’ll have a tough time defeating several guys with knives,.
It's not meant to be reloaded in the field. If any launcher is going to drive people away, it will be in the first few shots. 1 to 5. Rarely does it go to 10. In fact, Pepperball just removed the co2 from the magazine. Also, this is 3X as strong as the Byrna SD. And double the LE. Thx though.
Are you guys planning for some design that punctures the co2 easier? So there’s no twisting..something you can do with your thumb for example while it’s pointed
Yes and we are going to put it out with the magazine version but this won't be anytime soon. Honestly since we sell magazines and magazine pouches we know the vast majority of people aren't carrying an extra magazine. And this twist to puncture is the most reliable mechanism in the whole industry. So we have a strong opinion that this design is the best thing you can have in an emergency.

There is no such a thing as the quick pierce button on this launcher^^It’s only the last 5:18 twist of a CO2 cartridge. So IMXO any sort of a cover is simply waisting of valuable time…When the time come of course.
@@grimburglesslethal Hello, I was searching for this comment for a long time, but here we are. I'm interested by the Gavle 1.5 but it needs a cover for the co2 and I will explain why in my opinion ( I'm a 3D mechanical designer). When the cartridge is in, but not full threatened , waiting for you to use it, what's about the inner thread in the Gavle if you wear it in a holster... ? Because every little hit on the part of the cartridge which exceeds the Gavle body, and so, a little radial move, is not good for the inner thread. There is always some wear/play that will damage the inner thread ? Even if you made a very precise hole for the cartridge, there is still an axial wear/play, if you hit sometimes the bottom of the cartridge, it can damage the thread ? I have no problem with reloading, I prefer the power. But because of this little detail about the bottom of the cartridge, I think I will finally choose a Salt Supply 2, it's a pity. Excuse me for my poor English. Thanks ( I love your products )
@@grimburglesslethal Hello, thank you for your answer. You should not be so frustrated by my question, I’m french, and I can’t get the Gavle because you can’t send it to me. From what I have read, which please don't take this as legal advice, im not a lawyer, the hi viz california color has to do with imitation firearm laws in california, which pertain to brandishing. If you are concealed carrying for the purpose of self defense, this launcher will never be showed or brandished. Conceal whatever color you want, I suppose the reason they advertise their sunflower yellow for california is for the miniscule population that may want to open carry this for some reason. Seriously just buy it in the color you want, it's not a firearm and has no penal codes that I'm aware of in california to carry it on your body concealed in whatever color you choose.
Yes stock, at 20 joules. You would need to do some upgrades to get them to this level of power and then you're about the same cost. You need to upgrade the magazine, barrel, O-rings, get the right heavy projectiles, and then you're at 1.8 in wide, trying to conceal it comfortably.
I believe this might be a quality over price thing. At the performance level you see from these it would take a substantial investment in time and hardware to even match the power output on these launchers. Also, and I cant stress this enough, these folks are always in development and improving. They are only going to get better and better. One other small point. You'll notice that they always answer comments and questions. I can tell you from personal experience that they also always answer emails as well. This is a HUGE plus for any company. They actually care about their customer base. Don't let that point slip by folks... Its rare these days.
@@javascriptkiddie2718 True BUT.... Think of this as self defense without the risk of jail time and certainly without the risk of killing someone. Besides, what does a decent defense attorney cost these days :) Collateral damage is also overlooked a lot of the time. If you fire and your round passes through your target, or you miss your target, and hit or kill someone behind them...... Well..... Your life is over as you know it. I like to think of these as all of the protection with none of the associated "issues" that could arise. (AKA Taking them across state lines, laws that prevent carrying, moronic states that refuse to allow their citizens to protect themselves, their family, and their communities) Oh, and make NO mistake. These WILL put a person down. Have a great day man!

First two are stronger than the rest. Is it running out of co2 that’s fast & 650.00 is way out of my price range
It's been $499 for months. Made in America. Strongest launcher out of the box. It's a super high build quality. The last shot is stronger than our competitors' first shot.
And actually, all launchers are like that. They start strong and the power trails off as you run through the CO2.
Where can I get those in Germany though? :/
@rocus80m Sorry, Germany does not allow us to ship there.

Everyday
Awesome, thanks!

can a person buy the upgraded parts for their old Gavel?
We're working on it.
Can i get one in the uk
We do ship to the UK. You do have to pay VAT, and that may require picking up the package in person, just fyi.
Can I trade in my FSC that I purchased from you guys to go towards some of the cost and pay the difference to purchase this
Thanks for asking. We can't sell used equipment according to our insurance, unless we are the original manufacturer.

Keep your Fsc as well bro my gas is powerful
@@stevenmeansphotography3861 I love the fsc but the galve seems more reliable and durable when it comes to tests.
Needs a cover over the quick pierce button, to make it look more like a real firearm.
It's deceptively small. Your hand covers it.
@Sylveris It's almost fully threaded in while you are wearing it. And if you are choosing the S2, you definitely are not a mechanical engineer.
@@grimburglesslethal Hello, thank you for your answer. You should not be so frustrated by my question, I’m french, and I can’t get the Gavle because you can’t send it to me. So, how can I compare the quality ? I know the Galve is better because of the comments… but this co2 cartridge without any cover, is a problem. And you should not threaten me like this, you could be surprised like other engineers I humiliated in similar cases few years ago. Bye my friend !

Cool, but ya'll need to work on making the price more affordable. Much more expensive vs the competition.
Thanks but unfortunately we'd have to reduce the manufacturing quality and maybe make it in Taiwan like our competition.
@@grimburglesslethal well other manufactures are able too, but I understand. Perhaps I'll wait for a gently preowned one.

@@grimburglesslethal awesome, I will. BTW, I do have one question: how many rounds would I be able to get out of each c02 cartridge?
650 is outrageous for an air gun. More expensive than an m&p.

@@HalfAhBean yes
I would get any color I want in California. Wtf arrest me for a color

@@grimburglesslethal do you make shotguns
I'll take Grimburg over byrna any day since byrna don't like blind or disabled people...
Really expensive. You could get two FSC’s for $649
Yes stock, at 20 joules.
@@AlternateArmsSD I just think at $649 I’m in Glock territory
@@javascriptkiddie2718 True BUT.... Think of this as self defense without the risk of jail time and certainly
without the risk of killing someone. Besides, what does a decent defense attorney cost these days :)
Collateral damage is also overlooked a lot of the time. If you fire and your round passes through your target, or you miss your target, and hit or kill someone behind them...... Well..... Your life is over as you know it.
I like to think of these as all of the protection with none of the associated "issues" that could arise. (AKA Taking them across state lines, laws that prevent carrying, moronic states that refuse to allow their citizens to protect themselves, their family, and their communities)
Oh, and make NO mistake. These WILL put a person down.
Have a great day man!

I never understood why these less than lethal guns are so expensive when they’re just high powered BB guns that’s complicated to operate😂

Cost as much as real gun, might as well get a real one.
You're absolutely right. If you can, you should. There's plenty of real guns that cost less. Some people can't or don't want to.
