I've been drumming my whole life and it's really a matter of doing a lot of small easy things so many times that you have muscle memory for them and then combining them in to more complex and intricate patterns. It just takes time to develop the muscle memory. It's not as complicated as it seems to someone who doesn't play. She is very good though. Her fill phrasing is perfect. I also really like how she chose to set up her kit. Her snare sounds great and her cymbal selection is on-point for her style.
Considering how much hes been interacting with musically inclined fans in 2020 (pushing a lot of new artists into the scene) I wouldnt be surprised if he actually saw this.

The easiest is to have triggers or you drums. Which GROSSLY oversimplified is a sensor attached to a drumhead that’s creates an electrical signal when the head is struck. That signal gets sent to your computers digital audio workstation (DAW) and is recorded as whatever sample you’ve picked for that drum. Each trigger or microphone gets its own track. So just like in the way ppl talk about a vocal track or a guitar track each drum gets its own track. The second approach is you can have regular microphones on the drums and when that signal gets sent to the DAW you can have it be replaced with whatever sample you’ve picked. If you’re unfamiliar a DAW is just a music production software program, pro tools is by far the most well known but there’s a half dozen others at least: reaper, cakewalk, logic, etc... the way I’ve always seen cymbals done is they use overhead mics and they’re not sample replaced. So the cymbal sounds are the cymbals.

I used to play this song sometimes with my band when we toured as our one cover songs and it is not easy to learn, because it almost feels like the bridge ends on an odd beat and it throws you. Everything before the hat-to-snare roll is easy as fuck, but damn! You pretty much have to learn this from muscle memory. Fan-fucking-tastic. Jesus, you have skills, Kristina. A lot of good drummers on UA-cam these days, but your sound is so good, it's almsot unreal. Definitely better than the vast majority of other channels out there. Your playing is impeccable too, don't mean to downplay that by any means, very tight. You deserve a lot more subs IMO, I've already recommended your channel to all my musically inclined friends. Hope you get to follow your passion for many years to come.
Anyone else just thinking that the freaking drums sound amazing, and shes not even using the earthworks(at least not what I see), in my opinion they sound even better than some of the drum mixes I've seen with the earthworks.
DanielXDrumming it doesn’t matter if it’s earthworks or not as long as the engineer is a pro. The sound can be awesome with some decent drum mics as well.
