Dear Candace and George, Your story touched me personally and I wish you many happy years, both as a couple and with your children. As a German, I married an African woman many years ago and our engagement happened about as quickly as yours. She (21) was a student and I (28) worked as a volunteer in Kinshasa. This year we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. We are blessed with three adult children and are very lucky to have three times as many, i.e. nine, grandchildren. The oldest is 21 and she is currently studying with you over in the USA (in LA). Allow us to wish you many healthy children and grandchildren, and God's blessings for a long, happy married life !
Candace identifies more with whites than blacks. She speaks negatively of black culture and celebrities. From her early 20s, she discovered she wanted the lifestyle wealth people have. She has a bad relationship with her 2 sisters and mother. She never took to her grandfathers 7 Days Adventist teachings and is not particularly religious. George is. Bless you in your successful relationship.
Etienne, I love your story. Just Lovely. Wishing you and your entire family many many more years of so much love and happiness. Love from the States. 🤗 Marla
I love this story . People who have long courtships like 2 years tend to be testing eachother . I personally think you’d know within 6 months . We dated 4 wks. I popped the question, she said yes , 6 months later we’re on our honeymoon in Hawaii. Yes, we did it Gods way, saved ourselves for marriage. It’s the only way to really appreciate each other. Props to you both, stay in the true Gods good graces and you’ll be fine.
Beautiful. I knew my husband as an acquaintance for a year and a half and then all of the sudden he called me up and said that he thought we should see if we would be a good match for marriage. We talked for hours each day for a week and by the end of the week we decided we’d get married. This was before our first date! Engaged after 3 months and married 6 months after that. I think if you’re conservative and/or have religious values, it’s much easier to have these kinds of fairytale stories 🥰
Hello Candace, First of all greetings from London, England. I have been following you for a while on TDW and I am now excited for your next chapter. I love your love story. I have a similar one, I met my husband and we also knew. We have been together 15 years and married for 12. He's Ivorian and his mind and linguistic skills are amazing. You're right, when you know you know. Good luck to you and your family and if you have some downtime now might be a good time to get to St. Lucia where my parents are originally from❤. Kindest, Julie
Beautiful love story❤❤❤ This happened to my husband and I. The first day he saw me he told my sister "that's the girl I'm going to marry". It took a little longer for me but All glory and honour to Jehovah, we have been married for 23 years now❤
