I think I i found it once during Secret Mission 04, where you have to grab a certian amount of Red Orbs in the Grand Hall before the timer runs out. Not sure if it contributes to that mini-games score but that's how I learned about it.

I've seen this secret mentioned in one of AccountingNightmare's updated DMC4 guides from several years ago.
