Charlamagne giving mental health advice is the equivalent of Jess giving relationship advice 😭😭so yes i don’t take advice from someone not qualified
CTG literally made mental health acceptable in the Black community.
You know nothing.
Amen
😂💯
😂😂I’d take Jess’ relationship advice over Charlemagne’s advice any day. He is a walking talking hypocrite🤦🏾♀️😂
😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😅
I listen to everyone. Then after contemplation, i decide whether or not the advice is useful.
It’s only advice… Take it or leave it! However kids have to learn commitment , patience and discipline to their interests at some point!
This! Everything aint your favorite but push thru. Finish what you start.
YES ! I take advice from anyone… long as they dont ask me for money
😂😂😂
Lol
Proud child-free auntie here, and I try to ask questions instead of spew unsolicited advice if somebody’s talking to me about it. I have noticed that some of us “outsiders” can see a train wreck coming because we’re not as emotionally attached as the parents, but I know the general opinion is that non-parents’ advice is generally not respected by parents. I get, “Why didn’t you say something?!?!? 😠” when it’s too late. 🤷♀️
Proud child free aunt here too.
The breakfast club gives advice all the time on things they aren’t qualified on speaking about.
Yes and people be callin in for it. They don’t give people advice who didn’t ask… Jess ain’t ask for this lady advice
People who fail give good advice. People who succeed give good insight.
Facts🤔

If you're not a millionaire, I'm not taking any kind of advice from you
Part of success is failure. So I would be willing to listen and learn from their mistakes. Saves time and money.
@@janedough6410 true
Having a child doesn’t make you an expert on children though. Plenty of people lack intelligence and having children won’t change that. The issue is that a lot of parents just want to whatever they want to do and they don’t want to hear anything about it. I’ve had parents try to tell me off for telling them to hold their 2 year olds hand when crossing a busy highway and they didn’t have the light 🤦🏽♀️
This!!!
This! And plenty of good sensible folks unable to have kids or don't have the foundation they want for a child. That doesn't negate good advice.
Thank u!
How are you going to tell someone that doesn't have kids you're business especially if you're sensitive and then get mad at their advice ??? Makes no sense! JESS FIND A SUPPORT GRP!
This is one of the best things I have ever heard Jess say. We need more black people in S.T.E.A.M. It is hard being the only black person in the room all the time. But we also have to celebrate academics the same way we celebrate athletics. Good topic.
The topic is deeper than the surface. A lot of the success depends upon parental involvement and individual student desire. The average black child won't have the opportunity due to educational disparities. However if the student is willing to learn independently, no telling what they can achieve.
I'll listen but it is up to my own discernment
Maturity. 🔑 Discernment
Why bring something up if you dont want peoples opinions?
That’s exactly what I said! She obviously brought up the topic and that’s why her family members gave her advice. Next time she needs to not speak about her business
Why are they acting like people that don’t have kids, don’t understand how humans work😂
Obviously you need to listen to them
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Facts!!
THIS. All of this. This whole argument is crazy to me.
These folks are wild lol... took my daughter to a pediatrician just Monday I listened to her and guess what.. she has 0 kids
I don't have any kids, but I don't have to be a parent to tell my sis she can't be locking her 4yo inside the house so she can go party.
But if it's unnecessary, I just hit em w the "Thank you for your opinion."
True
Well that's common sense and I get what you saying but I think it's a little different in what they are saying like if you ain't actually raising a child or know what it's like then you probably shouldn't be telling anyone else how to raise their kids
@@doncritathompson1307 not every parent uses common sense. That's how many became parents to begin w. I've heard the excuse used by so many who wants to be irresponsible. W the situation I've used, I've heard those exact words of, "If you're not a parent, you can't tell anyone how to raise their kids" when I got angry finding the kid home alone. I don't have to be a parent, but I'm raising yours. Not trying to b judgemental, but so many ppl r selfish. I understand what Jess is saying, but this is my experience w that phrase
@@doncritathompson1307 you don’t need to have kids to know what is or isn’t appropriate to do to children. Having children doesn’t make you an expert on children either. Most people have kids and don’t know what they’re doing at all because they lack intelligence in general. Giving birth will not automatically make you smarter and it definitely doesn’t mean you’ll know better than someone who didn’t give birth.
Sometimes people can do for others that they can’t do for themselves. It’s like those who teach can’t do and those that can do can’t teach.
Stop acting like its about whether or not the person has been in that position before when its really about whether they are saying something you want to hear or not.
Thank you! They just don’t want to hear about it so they make up excuses 😂
Listen to Advice but you make your own choices don’t blame the person giving advice
....Nor focus on the delivery.
2pac said it best. We don't need more entertainers. We need more doctors, inventors, judges, lawyers.
It’s too many terrible parents out here for that to be the only qualifier for advice
I only take advice if they’re telling me a mistake they made
What if they pointed out a mistake you made, and the advice was to make your life easier, save or improve?
@@janedough6410 I’ll take it into consideration
@@janedough6410right
@@janedough6410but the person giving advice should make themselves the example, even in a troubled trial or tribulation. Take away the aspect of being judgemental.
No, I don't take advice, but I learn from other's mistakes. People are bad at giving advice but really good at making mistakes.
I danced my whole life. My whole family did. I wanted to quit many times. It got hard. I wasn't always the best. At 37 I am SOOOOO thankful my mom made me push thru vs let me quit. Discipline. Commitment. Finishing what you start. Staying true to your team. Life lessons. At least finish the season. You committed to your team.
🗣️Sports are more than a way out the hood. It teaches lessons you not gone learn at a computer.
People always bringing up Michael and Jo Jackson and the success of Michael and totally disregard that that man is dead because of his entire upbringing.....
I'm not a mother yet, but I have helped my sisters raise their children. I'm a very committed Aunty so I'm experienced enough to give advice on some things. Even when you give advice, people don't have to take it.
I hate unsolicited advice. Unless I ask or am putting my self or my kids in danger, keep your opinions to your self.
8:30 Jess’ face 😂😂😂
You can get advice from anyone it's how you receive that information you get
HAHAHA the look on Jess' face when that girl tried to turn her engagement into free promotion
That girl sounded so uneducated. She deserves an eye roll for more than that 😂
I never seen three people who are more wrong on this particular situation, weren’t we all young once… no one has the direct science on how to raise kids we just go with experiences and advices
As a parent of 4 I appreciate the advice if it’s from a loved one who isn’t being rude. But at the end of the day my husband and I will make the best decision for our child.
Sports are very important especially for young men. It provides structure, discipline, community, and a healthy release for their energy. It’s solid advice to keep your child active and healthy
Jess gets offended by everything
Does she?
Lol
Because she’s ignorant, she doesn’t know shit so she’s constantly shook by reality 😂
@@TheBasher-_-yes
She pregnant lol I think it’s just the hormones talking
You don't have to have a kid to give that kind of advice. It's not about having a kid it's about being a person with ambition. The child wanted to do something else. Everyone has wanted something more than where they are and wanted support doing so.
No professionals only, limited consideration from everybody else.
It's possible Jess is defensive with comments concerning her child and/or the delivery of the advice. She has a segment giving advice and not qualified, therefore Jess should be open to listening to others in the same manner.... and determine if it's sound and useful. If not, discard.
I played sports all the way through highschool. I now work in Tech. You can do more than one thing
Yup one of my friends played basketball through highschool and now has his own tech company. I wish my parents would of put me in sports as a child
Them bending over backwards to trying to excuse what happened to Michael Jackson invalidates their entire point of listening to the kid. Truth is parents listen when it’s convenient. I’m glad envy asked her would the decision be different if he was a star player
I Get My Advice From My Auntie & My OGs It's Self Care To Me ❤️😎🔥🤘🏾
Those who are quick to give advice hate to receive advice. Every coach hasn’t played basketball but can coach a player who does. Discernment
Even if you have kids, don't speak aggressively on other people's kids. Let parents reach out for advice from their people that they trust.
Stop acting like just because someone doesn’t have children they don’t have advice to give. WE WERE ALL KIDS ONCE, so WTF is the problem!
The kid need to get some type of exercises, what happen to learning how to work with a team and leadership
I think that's where coming from I would do like maybe a different sports activity that's not so much and do tech and something active
@Jess, look into the national society of black engineers (NSBE) pre-college programming! 😊 we’d love to have him and all pre-college students interested in STEM!
The say is “it takes a village to raise a child, not a village of parents.”
We're talking about people that's different from me taking advice from a mechanic because I don't know cars
That question should be directly aimed at Jess because she giving people advise she knows nothing about
I *listen* to anyone's advice, I take what is *sound* .
Jess is a 2x BM she can’t give any advice!!!
Love Jess hair like this and it fits her pregnant face😊
You need passion to play sports and if it isn’t in the kid’s heart he’s not going to excel or maybe he does but he’s going to feel like he cheated himself out of something he likes to do.
She witnessed a successful marriage through her parents, so she can give marital advice. I grew up with other kids, so I can give child advice.
- Following Jess’ logic lol
We’ve all been a child before & have life experience enough to know a child needs to stay productive
Charlemagne think he his kids friends thats the problem with ppl now
Charlemagne talking like he knows for a fact how Michael Jackson felt is ridiculous. This man just talks to talk
I agree!
*Jess hit the nail on the head!* 🎯
Angela Yee was giving out marriage/parenting advice with no spouse or kids. So Breakfast Club replaced her with Jess whose unmarried and giving out marriage advice…and 2 *married men/with children,* sit up there and let them do it❗️ Even be taking heed to their advice 🤣🤣🤣
But a lot people do grow up wishing they would had try you never know how good you can be if you don’t try
Your son is smart because he doesn't want concussion !
playing sports helps build confidence and discipline. He doesn't have to have NBA or NFL dreams. If he likes to play, let him play. If he doesn't want to play, don't. he csn do tech for the future and sports just for building discipline.
I pay attention in my environment from within of what I'm perceiving and what that is telling me, if a person has something constructive for me to be privy to I might listen or even take note to better navigate later on but I'm not goin to subscribe to nonsense
I'll weigh any advice, and I'll judge if it's better to take heed to the advice. I think a person without kids can give helpful advice. In this case tho, her family isn't giving good advice; I only say that because they're speaking as if that's the only option. I do think it's coming from a good place tho, they're just ignorant to the fact sports isn't the only extracurricular activity available.
In this case, Jess should not be giving advice at all on the air
Snoop son took it hard when his said he didn't want to play ball again.
Jess lookin like Prince!!
When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was told by multiple people to get rid of my pittie boy.. because “That type of dog” can’t be around a baby… I heard this from people WITHOUT KIDS OR DOGS!!!! My sons love our dogs and respect animals sooooo hushhhh it people. Like Big Shaun said “ KEEP YOUR TWO CENTS UNLESS ITS GOING TOWARDS THE BILL”
I mean that’s good advice. At the very even if you didn’t get rid of it, you’d at least hopefully be more attentive about the dog. A lot of people forget that dogs are animals and not toys.
What’s a pittie boy?
@@dinkyboss telling someone to get rid of a pet is never good advice
When it comes to raising kids you don’t know how but if it advice about common things then that’s ok
Good morning 🌄🙏🏿☕😴👋🏿
First of all we need more black Software Engineers cuz it’s lonely out here. Plus the pay is lit. I learned on my own as an adult but man I’d love to bring in some young black interns.
Great point made here tho. A lot of the black community (esp older) isn’t aware of the tech community. We simply consume. I am consistently the only black engineer in the room so it’s hard to represent our culture through software.
I'm confused 😕 if you tell people your business, they will have an opinion. If you don't want anyone's opinion, don't tell them. Keep it in house 🏠
YES Stem Camps
HBCU,s
I really dig what Jess brings to the table here. 👍🏾
Yes especially from *homeless people 🤣*
I jus wonna know how they got there so I don't have to end there too.
And I also take advice from Millionaires and Adults Movie Star.
Man, that family member mustve touched a sensitive area for jess
Lmao for real.
Exactly!! If she doesn’t want advice from them then she should keep her business to herself. She obviously brought up the topic for them to have an opinion 👀
@@javiruiz8365no wants to hear other peoples opinion but be so quick to put the information out there for others to judge.
Now yall contradicting yall selves with the MJ story... Joe was putting his hands on them kids and everything and guess what they kept singing and dancing
The first teacher that called, I think it’s not about her because technically she has raised children. Maybe not biologically but she has raised kids so she can give advice
T.D. JAKES - JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE A CHILD DOES NOT MAKE YOU A PARENT

I actually agree with envy & charlamagne today 🤣
I only take love advice from men
And only hot men! 😂😂😂
the more charlamagne around jess he starting to pronounce dew, tew, shew, lol
Simple answer…no lol
What about the kid that comes back and says why didn't you push me to do that? Your the parent what do I lnow
100% wrong get up and get out and do something !!!
Is that a lyric from the Outkast song called Get Up,Get Out?
I hate it when someone tries to put themselves above you to give you advice you didn’t ask for. They’re not trying to help they just like feeling superior. Now if you have doctor or ceo in your title then bring the advice on but if we are coworkers please shut up until you become my boss. You give advice to your children you leave adults to deal with the consequences of their actions unless it’s life or death.
Charla is right about everyone “being into tech” there’s a HUGE difference between knowing how things work and being a consumer.
Yo but where is Tezlyn tho?
I always thought Yee advice was invalid because she’s not married or have kids. I only advice from her is Business and Career.
It seems like she was getting advice from someone who judgment didn't align with hers.
#whereisTez
Of course i don't. Otherwise i would be doing what these three stooges there are telling lol
The advice to keep your kid physically active ie sports or self defense training of some kind is not only good for discipline but health reasons while I understand the stem programs physical education may be just as important unless you want a fat unhealthy kid😂😂
My " wife " laughed at me when I told her what I've always wanted to do which was produce...we're not together anymore
Uncle cha a fool#the caller ain’t brush your teeth yet,calm funny😂
I agreed w everything charla said until michael jackson. Those kids were trained to be cash cows for joe jackson
Yall really acting like the kid can't be well rounded and do sports and STEM.
u askin me knowin i don't have kids🤔
i give my opinion followed by * i don't have kids so don't go by me😁
So wait people that dont have kids cant give advice about raising kids? 😂😂😂 Bruh every day we see parents ultimately screw this thing called parenthood up that someone without kids could absolutely give sound advice on
My advice is never to take advice from a female respectfully 😮
D wade listened to his kid see what that got.. but the tech thing is good
~the only qualification is "being well-versed" in something....as long as the person got well-versed, proficient or expertise great Wisdom or knowledge of the field of Life they giving advice on, whether the knowledge is experience, witnessing or studying, in one or all 3 of these areas, then i say they qualified...Feel free to disagree...LOLOLOL...But i wish my parents signed Me up for Sports early....i use to beg em to sign me up ...but they aint never sign my permission slip....lololol....I coulda been taller or even be in the NBA if my peoples supported...lol..my people aint support Me accept public school...thats it...they said f### all your dreams and everything else U wanna do...just go to Public School and graduate...LOLOLOL...
