Thank you for making MPC3 vids and please keep them coming as you discover new things or for any reason for that matter. Until the public beta is released I want to see all that I can to be slightly ahead of the curve and it's awesome to see the new workflow. YES I'm excited and can't wait. 🙏🏾

BRUHH previewing kits is CRAZY. I like that they still have the option to load to new track because I do like to load a bunch of kits to flip through
That’s dope Malo on the auditioning the drum programs, a much new improvement. The workflow on submix with effect is a nice touch too.

That’s interesting how that works.
The problem 3.0 has created for me is the ability to switch from a plugin to a keygroup, drum program, or external synth or digital piano appears to be broken.
Sometimes, I can’t find a sound fitting for use so I just compose with the best keygroup or plugin I can find at the time knowing I need to find a better instrument later. Once I get something put down that I like, I can fire up my Roland Integra 7 which has a lot of better sounding patches to use than the ones I composed with.
Seems like 3.0 locks you into whatever type you used to start and won’t allow for the substitution. If I was using a drum program and I want to use drums from the Integra 7, I’m screwed with copying and pasting the MIDI into a new type of track. Same goes if I use a synth from a plugin, compose, and find a better one in a keygroup, or on the Integra 7, Volca FM2, D-05, or K2500RS.
It’s not a killer but it’s extra work where before it was none at all. Just change the track type and select what you want.

Man, I've been producing for over 20 years and still learn new things from you! I'll be purchasing your MPC Course. I see that you have 2 different courses for the MPC One and Live, which one would be best for a MPC Key 61 key user. I'm assuming the MPC One course as the layout is designed more similar to the Key 61.

Great question and thank you for taking center to ask. Someone just asked this exact question previously so I had to check for myself. Yes you are able to have something recorded on the grid and while it’s back, you can audition different programs. So, you are able to do this.

hey malo, thanx again for this very informative video. i have a question regarding switching programs. is it possible to create a track with a program, and audition thru the programs as u showed it while my track is playing in the same time? or at least do the events stay intact when i load a new program into my track? thx for helping me out ob this..
@@andydufresne6778 my goodness, that’s such a great question and as I’m reading your question, I’m here on my MPC. To clarify and answer you yes you absolutely can. I sequenced a simple drum groove using the current program and I hopped back into the browser banking through auditioning different programs as my groove is playing on the sequence. Every time I bang through a different program, it changes to the new sounds, the notes are playing on the grid. Thank you so much for this question. I hope this helps other people. ❤️🫡
@@malobeats Oh wow, thanks so much for the quick reply! :) U know, i use this workflow a lot since stem separation is available.
After separating the stems from my main sample, I start creating my beat with the original sample. Once the first tracks are up, I often love it to change the original sample within my tracks to 'Other' or 'Bass' to hear how it sounds. Hope this makes sense somehow. I thought it wouldn't be as easy to do so in version 3.0, but it apparently still works quite well. Thanks a lot for the clarification! 😎

Thank you for mentioning. To be honest with you I just use the presets as when it comes down to tweaking these parameters, I just don’t feel comfortable talking about details when I’m not to familiar with that aria. Thank you for dropping in and mentioning 🫡🙏
@@malobeats Fair enough. I bought it last night and its pretty powerful as a synth beyond just 808's, my only concern is that it was released in the middle of a beta for a totally differen tinterface. Probably fine since all the other plugins appear to work normally. Keep up the hard work man!

Isn`t there a trail version of Sub Factory for the MPC (stand alone mode). I want to try before I probably buy, but the plugin doesn`t appear in the Preferences/Activations screen.
Well, that means that Akai/Inmusic’s license server is functioning as it normally does. It’s not you, it’s them.
I would advise a little patience. I have three MPCs tied to the same Inmusic account and that can connect to same network. Sometimes all three see the same thing. Sometimes two units see update and the third doesn’t.
I don’t have a clear solution for you besides relax. Sometimes, leaving it on for a while (0.5-1 hrs) sometimes helps things show up in activations. Sometimes turn it off and trying again later helps. Sometimes using another network helps. The only thing I can assure you is it will show eventually.

@@thecreepysilence4290 3.0 is amazing. I absolutely love it. Taking me some time to adapt a new workflow, but it has been for the better. They’ll be updating a few minor bugs in the final release and I can’t wait to see what they have coming up in the future.
Akai should maintain its MPC's heritage integrity and make the 3.0 as a Plugin and all matters 👍 should be resolved within the community, 3.0 DAW is somewhat conflicting. EIther the MPC is a integrating DrumMachine or not.Most DAWs are final Post Production. THE MPC supposed to be an instrument, with the added edge....I think it should remain so..Otherwise I'm loving ❤❤❤ the Akai's flush of dominance in the industry 😀 😄 👌.
@@HubertCopeland-mu3eh I can't completely agree with you on that. I think the idea of a hardware-based DAW like Akai, especially with the MPC and the Force, is really brilliant. Personally, I use the MPC as a DAW. I really do everything with her. Also mixing and mastering. What others do on the PC in the regular DAW, I do in the MPC. The MPC is a workstation. And I think that's what's cool about it. The cool thing about it is that it feels like an instrument. I think the approach is brilliant and I'm happy that the 3.0 update finally includes all the features I always wanted. This update will finally fully exploit the potential of the MPC

I can’t believe no one talks about file management????
Group files in project in folders so I don’t have to scroll thru hundreds of samples when loading up a multi sampled instrument for example. 100s of files makes it unmanageable. Please for gods sake address this
