I filmed down in Tumut back in May 2023 and couldn't get up to Blowering Dam they had closed the road for some reason. So could only look around down the bottom. But Adelong is a great spot
the heavy rain caused part of the road to wash away...reason it is no longer open. you have to walk up part of the hume and hovell track along side to walk up to wall
@@hapninemptynesters at this stage the water resources aren’t looking at spending the money. Really say cause when the dam spills over there are a lot of tourists who visit but now makes hard for elderly or disabled people
the height of the wall is because it has to meet the recomendations for the 100 yr floods. not great for short people . the lower road is for water resource staff to access water pressure markings along the wall
@@hapninemptynesters helps as I’m a local plus my grandparents owned all the land you see looking down the valley and the land the trout farm is on. They farmed cattle

Oh that sucks as it was really nice up at the dam. But I agree we loved Adelong, it was really interesting.
