Hmm where should I begin... fielding animations are still lazy, unrealistic dives and fielding, unrealistic hitting engine and please save me the it's baseball I've seen enough real life baseball to know this hitting engine is not even close to simulation baseball. Stick skills reign supreme and working as we intended are the 2 biggest lies I've heard a game company make about its game since cyberpunk

And I know that’s baseball, but it happens at an unrealistic level in mlb 22. The new announce team also sucks. There are some improvements, like the perfect throw to any base, a nerfed Shippett, and other stuff, but when the hitting plays like the winner is predetermined, the game is a pain to play

For me 22 was a downfall. But I still feel proud that mlb has been way more consistently good than 2K or Madden. So I can’t complain too much. Yes it sucks this year! I hope next year is better!!
I still play mlb the show 20, got it almost 2 years ago and the show 21 was shortly coming out at the time. Just didn’t see the point in grabbing every newer the show game since it’s not much different and the hitting and glitching can be worse than other previous mlb the show games

2021 was the beginning of the end for offline players. RTTS immediately became almost unplayable after 2020. You have no control over how good or bad youll do at the plate. How you swing means nothing. It all depends on what the game will allow in that game. Perfect, full contact swings on fast balls right ove the middle that are pop outs to the short stop. If your batting average hets above .350....youre doomed at the plate for the next 10 to 15 bats. If you get on base....i hope you have time....bc youll be out there for a while bc every single batter after you will go to a full count with about 5 or 6 fouls. Hope you hit low pitches too.....bc itll be 90% of what they pitch you (which btw....are unhittable). 2021 set the tone for bad baseball games here on in.

The computer hits more foul balls than I’ve ever seen. The user however just gets bat hits. Makes the game unplayable. You literally have to stare at pitches just to get the computer pitch count up. Otherwise your pitcher is replaced in the 4th inning while the computer is at 60 pitches in the 8th. I haven’t even bought or played anything past this.
The Show 21 was a more polished game than 22. The game will get worse every year now. SDS has become a thin skinned pile of babies who are more worried about photoshopping old Indians uniforms than getting their game to run without crashing. On Oct 23rd The Show 22 is still hard crashing during games, and is doing so frequently enough that its not forgivable & random. All the focus is on selling cards & creating reasons for you to buy cards. Screw the gameplay. It actually has worse animations than i ever remember. The sloppy look of any catch near a wall would have been fixed in the past. Now its ignored. Random bugs that break the game, like players running out of the stadium to catch a fly ball, and it warping them back onto the field like nothing happened.....now occur. The Show will be no different than Madden within a few years.....and its a shame. Blame Sony -- they have allowed all their studios to fall apart in the last few years. Anyway - Thanks Kev.
