    I think putting dish soap into the mixture is a good idea. I use vinegar and baking soda, which works, but I think the detergent will help. Best method though is to never cook on a dirty cooktop, then you won't have to do that much cleaning. Pot bottoms also need to be clean for best results.

    • @amzolinek
      @amzolinek  3 роки тому +2

      Yes that works as well and you're absolutely right, one shouldn't cook on a dirty cooktop and unclean pot bottom makes it worse and can even cause scratches. Thanks J

      @@amzolinek When I was growing up my mom never bothered much with the bottoms of the pots and neither did I until I got a glass top stove. Now I keep the bottoms of my pots clean. They look a lot better that way too, although no one really sees them - I don't hang them because my kitchen is too small.

    I am certain that this combination of products will work to clean the stovetop. However, I wouldn't recommend using a paper towel on it as paper towels are a wood product and have fibers that can scratch the glass - same reason you should not use them to clean eyeglasses. However, microfiber cloths are the perfect thing to use to polish and buff the glass after cleaning it.

    OK at first glance I was gonna say no way. No matter what it takes a lot of elbow grease. I tried it and after letting it sit for 10 mins 90% came off effortlessly. I did have to submit a few spots, but next time I will let it sit longer. Thank you.

    Why do people keep putting baking soda with vinegar? It's so dumb. Baking soda is a base, vinegar is an acid. That chemical reaction that she thinks is so awesome is the base neutralizing the acid, making it useless. 100 percent useless!! You may as well just mix water and baking soda. This is basic junior high chemistry. All these silly women making "all natural" cleaning remedies that are not nearly as effective as they would be if they knew what they were doing. They don't. Just making things take longer. Baking soda is a decent, mild abrasive. So mix a little dish soap with it. Don't add the vinegar. Keep it separate. Vinegar is a good disinfectant, as long as you don't neutralize it, ruining the acid. Ladies, please study up a little and don't listen to idiots. You could do the same thing using a can of bar keepers friend.
