Another great review!! Just in case no one else has pointed it out, his claw gloves are actually labeled left and right. It took me a minute to realize that, but they fit so much better! Thanks for another great video!
@Apunkwithtoys well shit.... mine took a little bit of wiggling but they went on. Another thing I've seen, I think from another reviewer, is to split the palm-side of the grip right in the center. The plastic is rigid enough to not fall off, but it gives it enough room to fit on properly. Hope this helps!
10:34 so cool, Laurence; we're on the same wavelength here! I just watched YoJoeJerk's review on this and he said "party in the back" and called it a mullet. I had half a mind to leave a comment on his. I was going to inform him that it's not a mullet, it looked like a downed mohawk. And now you say! I totally agree 👍. Shartimus Prime used to have a head of hair just like that, and he'd put it up into a mohawk during band performances.
I had the same hair cut for years when I was younger, but never put it up. I was more shocked at how much it resembled the O-Ring without people realizing it.
I just came here to say that the term raptor references any predatory bird with a strong notched bill and sharp talons. To be even more specific, the bird with Raptor is a Falcon. And his "bird mask" is more of a cowl. I now am going on the internet to see how I can change my name to Matthew Matson.
@@Apunkwithtoys - This is the problem with GenX Joe collectors and the GenX Hasbro Joe Team, you think GI Joe is all about your generation. We get it, you're more connected to the military/tech side of GI Joe, but you had your turn. Those of us born in the 80s want our turn. We like there is a mystical side to Joes. Raptor is a 1987 Joe, you were probably wern't even collecting Joes then. But to us 7 year olds Raptor could fly with his cape in our minds. Stop advocating for these "modern updates". They suck. Raptor will be a peg warmer because of it.
Great looking figure. I like it when they make low tier characters into a standout figure. Tripwire, raptor, now I got high hopes for airtight and scoop lol
Thanks for the review, I saw him on the website of Hasbro, he looks very good. I will try to get him, if he is available somewhere. He looks very comic accurate, which is good from my opinion. He can use his feathers as a shield to protect him from bullets. The bird mask is used by him, to calm the falcons which he uses for scouting. Keep up the great work. Greetings from Europe
I remember seeing the original 3.75" figure on the rack as a kid thought he was a f*** dumb character. The other character who was even dumber was Crystal Ball from the same year. Cobra gets a tech specialist, physical trainer, crocodile handler, bird suit dude and a hypnotist. Two of those are not like the others. This Classified version is a huge improvement over the original one. The wings can be thought of as an experimental flight pack using wings to steer and act as shields. I got MCU Falcon vibes when I saw the early photos of him using the wings as shields. He should've been given another weapon. There are those extra rifles from the Viper 3 pack. Hopefully, Classified gives Crystal Ball a major upgrade too.
When they first revealed the pics of him, I was a little worried that Raptor's wing apparatus design was going to be too similar to movie Vulture's... because Vulture's wing pack looks great but has to be assembled when you get him, with reeeeeaally flimsy open-faced snap-on hinges that make the wings fall apart without much provocation if you try to flex or bend 'em much. Judging from your review, these seem more permanently fixed together and less likely to pop apart. Nice. Mine will SUPPOSEDLY be here next week, yaaay 🤞🏻 *also, Metal-Head's is the backpack you are thinking of
Man...everyone hates the original Raptor but I liked him as a kid 😂A little disappointed with this new version though. I was expecting wings something more nano organic and compact vs. straight mechanical movie Vulture. I'm still getting him but speculating that him and Road Pig could be more original (better) on a retro card later.
I wish they would’ve either made general Ledger the bird from the low light n spirit mad mauraders set or since this was a deluxe package they could’ve given us the drone that came with cobra island firefly or NF shockwave. Since they didn’t think of it I am and taking the extra controller from the wreckage n tiger paw set that is for the retro firefly drone and some how adding it to raptor!
The back of the box shows birds in flight. I wonder if they were cost cut.🤔 I wouldn’t be surprised to see a $24.99 retro carded version, with no tattoos, cloth wings and the bird with extended wings; in the future.
I don't understand the claws at all. You certainly can't pose them straigh like in the photo on the back My initial thought when taking ot out of the box was that you remove the hands & then put them on. I guess with some heat that may still work?
Update - My Raptor arrived a few days ago. And before I even decided to open the box. One of the arm gauntlets had a slight separation from the arm. So yeah, arm gauntlet swivel is not a good idea.
Nooooo Thanks. Did not buy it back in the day. Not going to buy it now. I am going to save my money for Law and Order for sure and Heavy Duty if it turns out to be awesome.

Thank you. I tried them on how they are labeled and they still don’t fit well.

You forget to mention how they only hold birds on the left arm, never on their right.
@@Apunkwithtoys LOL
The hood is so the bird isn’t over stimulated. When the hood is off, its hunt mode is on.
Sounds like some UA-camrs 😂
C'mon Punk, maybe LEARN A LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT FALCONRY before you go around making vids about it, jeeez 😂😂😂
I think he's a great update with the mechanical wings
I agree, they made a crappy character really cool.

Another awesome amazing review mate I really enjoyed your point of view on Raptor
Thank you so much.
The hood on the bird is used to keep it calm.
Thank you.
I'm glad I caught your review. Now, I want this figure.
Glad I could help

They’ve done a great job doing it.

He’s gonna be available everywhere
I just unpacked mine and they did a good job. I thought the same thing with the knife almost didn’t see the sheath😂.
It did seem hidden lol
Great video review. The claws have a right and a left. I might pick this figure up
They still didn’t work like that either
Really luv your reviews man!
Man looking at the OG Raptor now. It show how out dated it is. Can’t wait to get my hands on the new one. Great review as always.
Thank you, I’m really impressed how they made him cool 😂

I hated both those figures as a kid 😂
Great review. The classified version is a huge improvement over the o-ring.
There is no doubt about that 💪🏼
Awesome Video Punk. Super excited to get this figure soon. Thank You for the great review.

The wings are really good.
Falcon's hood always have something on to of them
I imagine it make them easier to remove as you can grab that
It’s a Faux Hawk.
💪🏼
Believe you can pull out the hand to put the claw in first.
That’s not how that’s supposed to work, I think it would be better if it did tho.

I’m not sure they could shrink them like you mentioned, but it would be cool if they did.
The looks is, in my opinion, a definite improvement over the original..
Huge improvement

Funny how the bird can’t pose as flying, but his human overlord can…..argggg…

I always made him a loon. I don't wanna know he was a normal guy with a bird hobby lol
And an accounting job.
They really need to stop using that gauntlet twist design. Those are prone to breakage.
I haven’t had any issues and in not sure why that would be more prone to breaking them boot or thigh cuts.
@@Apunkwithtoys the design is flawed. Especially with the retro storm shadow release. Thigh and boot cuts having an issue is quite rare.
@@Apunkwithtoys also what I meant by breakage, meaning, bending out of place.
