@@AccordingtoApril In fact Pull-Ups double as Travel Pants so kids can simply let go & relax when they're on the road or on a Plane. They can also be useful for if you're shopping w/ kids (especially at malls) cause sometimes the nearest restroom will be out of order.
I feel silly asking this (first time/single parent here!). But, for a kid that is totally potty trained in the daytime and wears undies then-- are we screwing up by continuing to let him wear actual diapers at nighttime? We actually used pull-ups during the daytime when he was potty training, but for some reason, we never used them consistently at night. He's not bothered by it, I assume just because he's been wearing them @ night for so long? But I feel like we're kind of in a minority by having an almost 5 year old still wearing (size 7!) diapers overnight. :s
No silly questions. This is a safe space 🥰 By 4 kids shouldn’t be wearing diapers of any kind. If they are then you should talk to your pediatrician as they might need a sleep specialist or someone who can keep your child further. Boys do take longer to potty train than girls so don’t feel bad.
@@AccordingtoApril We're actually in a sort of weird in-between area, as far as our pediatricians go. My kid's original pediatrician (bless her heart...she was awesome!) actually JUST retired two weeks ago. We already have a new Dr. set up, but haven't had a chance to go see him yet, although we do have a 5 year check up coming up soonish! We were told exactly what you said by our (old) pedi, as far as boys taking a bit longer. She basically told us that so long as he was fully potty trained in the daytime, that it's basically just a case of bedwetting, which they apparently don't consider an issue until closer to 7-8 yrs old. In addition, we were encouraged to encourage potty breaks right before bedtime, and try and limit drinks in the evening somewhat, and make sure he's drinking plenty earlier in the day. We do all that, but even with all that, he still was/is peeing every single night. Which is why he still wears a diaper to bed nightly. :X It's getting rough, because it's seriously looking like his 2 year old sister is going to be out of diapers day AND night, before her older brother.
I'm a 13 year old boy but my mom put me in a girls pull ups because I'm still bedwetting.. My little sister used to wear pull ups so my mom would just use her pull ups on me but now she doesn't need it anymore so in my room I have a large drawer full of my little sister's pull ups and now I have to use them.. The pull ups is actually very good at absorbing and the size is 4t-5t but it easily fits me.. it was embarrassing when my mom would just put me in pull ups with no pants when we were on a long trip so that she can easily change me
@ocmel389 same here have used depend mens underwear diapers since outgrowing huggies pullups and goodnites the boys kind due to incontinence I transitioned to using depend mens underwear diapers after out growing good nites and huggies pullups the boys kind
How do I know what size fits. My son was in size 6 diapers and is 27 months now so I bought 2T-3T but they look tight. Are they supposed to be tight like underwear?? I don’t want him to get a rash at night when he wears the overnights or poop out the side because it’s to tight.
I would try a 4T-5T. Those are the largest pull-ups go to. It would give your child much more room, and depending on which company you go with, the coverage will be better. I hope that helps!
To be honest, it's really both, two, three and four year old tots should always wear diapers at night to prevent daily bed wetting and massive pooping when they are sleeping, pull ups also has powerful benefits as well, it give three, four, five and sometimes six years old children to learn more how to prevent potty accidents, this is a super awesome diapers vs. pull ups learning difference video!!
Thanks for the comment. Unless your child has a medical condition by 4 all children should be potty trained and out of any diapers. Yes, the occasional accident may happen but even pediatricians stress no diapers by 4. Always consult a medical professional with your child’s condition as it might be different.

Diapers are easier to change than pull-ups especially if they go potty #2.
