It is a Merlion (Sea Lion). It is an icon of Singapore, a mythical creature with a fish's body and a lion's head.
Dan Surprise I noticed it was in a nautilus shell! Fascinating!
How could he not know about the Merlion???? That's like the symbol of Singapore isn't it?

anyone else would know. But Mike is so food focused! He thinks Laksa is the national symbol.
It was said that the Merlion (Sea Lion) was designed with the legend of the founding of Singapore. The Lion represents the name, Singa stands for Lion and Pura City. The Mermaid tail represents how Singapore started as a port of call and it stands as a maritime focus city.

You are in Sentosa! Yes I also have travelled to almost all places in the world, and Singapore is one of my top 3 favorites too! Of course, my family lives there so that plays a role too. I live now between Germany and Northern Virginia just outside DC, but really, Singapore is top of my Asian list! Btw you look like a younger version of Jackie Chan! Have a great flight back, Mike.

That lion shrimp plush is called Merlion it's kinda like Singapore's national animal or mascot.

Listen to Mikey, DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL, i did not drink and i remember so much more than my shipmates, have a drink but limit yourself. i lived in Japan 5 years all over japan 2 years in italy all over europe. also Norway and Australia from the top to the bottom. what do you do?
i'm going to be a nuke and serve on carriers, i don't like to drink myself so that's not a problem. once i'm done with the navy, i plan to build a small ship and cruise around asian countries and take my time exploring. that will be my retirement plan lol
I have been to a few, loved asia, served on a carrier it was a nuke i was a bm2(sw/aw) quals are what is the most important for work and liberty

Mike, Why don't you do a fan meetup meal next time. Just pick a cheap place to eat at a mall or something (that has a good rating of course!) and tell the fans day/time/price and get together for a quick laid back meal. It will be fun to see everyone's reactions to the food as well! PS I was at the grocery store today and I bought that exact flavor of Jarritos soda - I've never had it before but I am excited to try it. Glad to know I picked the tasty one :) Love the vids keep them coming!

Yea we're stuck with the humidity, u know how some ppl hop from one heated building to the next when it's too cold? We hop from one air-conditioned building to the next when it's too hot! :-)
basically we need to stay indoor with ac on in Singapore! lol

No you dont. 95% of Singaporeans have never experienced this luxury for themselves. If they do get to visit this island (Sentosa), you most likely have to stay at Michael or Festive hotel, the two cheapest and smallest hotels available there. :'(

+Togg Tlas Yes good point. I think they let him stay for free in some cases in return for the promotion on his channel. If he stayed there for free he should disclose it in each video though. See the FTC rules www.ftc.gov/tips-advice/business-center/guidance/ftcs-endorsement-guides-what-people-are-asking Honestly if he is getting the stay for free and not disclosing it he leaves himself open to being prosecuted by the FTC.

Buffet at the W Sentosa is pretty good. Stayed at the hotel once with the private plunge pool, and you should try the spa. W spa is one of the best.

Mike, try out Today Calendar, it syncs with your Google calendar. And if you have an Android device they have a widget you can put on your home screen that can show your agenda for an entire month. Pretty useful.
I really enjoyed watching your channel, especially on Singapore (cos it's my country) and that you love the food here. Actually W Hotel has a great steak house called the Skirt, hope you had a chance to eat there as well. If not, that's a good reason for you to visit us again.
