I love your house and how you have created a home. There’s a lot of comments on how good the grey tones are, however, I personally found that to be a little soulless. If your own photography was absent it would look like a generic house presented for sale, where’s the personality? Add some colour, some flare! Given that you said you are not looking to make any changes and buy a new house, I hope you can design the next house with less a monotone view and really put your mark on it. I also think grey tones is more of a trend in the UK, as you said you are moving away from minimalist, that’s also a trend, colour, personality, and maximalism is growing, and it’s an exciting time to get creative. You own the house! Pay someone to move the light switch and install a socket right below it. A general electrician could do it in a couple hours for pretty cheap.
