Great video. I just started doing this thought I'd share my experience: I highly recommend the aern daggers. Easy to get and the pop items can be obtained for 100 login points. Event is only active in June though so don't miss out. Also keep an eye out for qutrub knife from ambuscade. This fight can easily be done without orpheus's sash and other bis gear, it just takes a little longer. A good enfeebling set is essential and enhancing is recommended. Don't get discouraged if you can't match the damage portrayed in the video. I'm using 6/6 ayanmo +2 for melee and my enthunder only deals about 350 damage for about 25 minute fight times. Then I started using Star Sybil, Cornelia and Kuyin Hathdenna trusts and cut 10 minutes off my time. I tried on very easy and easy difficulties just to see and I was dealing physical damage so that doesn't work. Trying to land the debuffs with the daggers equipped is a bitch so take the time to make good macros and it's ezpz. Poison II is good and if dilatory digestion is up, eat your sushi before entering. Currently 0/9 on drops normal. Have fun nerds :)
how are you getting 820 and 1640 enspells my max is 440? i use all the gear i should use for enspell and also my enf/enh magic is maxed when i use enspell and also when i debuff?
Multiattack and accuracy to make sure all your hits land is a big part of it, note those are the numbers for the full round of attacks. Also make sure you are using Enspell not Enspell II's.
The first number of each line in the video's chat log shows how many hits landed that round (i.e. [2], [4], [5], etc.). Battlemod adds and consolidates multi-hits into 1 line and is why you're seeing spikes of upwards of 2k enspell damage. If you're not using battlemod your logs wont show spikes like this, but it all amounts to the same damage dealt in the end. 1 line of 2k enspell damage with battlemod or 5 lines of 400 enspell damage without battlemod; still 2k damage.
Me and my RDM friend did this exact strat, except I went in as NIN just to hold hate from the RDM for ease of shadow management, and to help with damage with ninjitsu elemental wheel. However, at 69% he uses the Geirrothr move (split damage) every time, even though he isn't fed any tp. Does he only use this move if the game detects more than 1 player in the fight? Because he doesn't seem to use it against you.
Shouldn't have anything to do with number of players. That means your feeding him tp in some way. If I remember correctly Ninjutsu elemental does feed tp, it's low but it does exist so over time it will build up.
I had a couple of good attempts but each time ran into the same issue: Landing enfeebles is no problem at the start of the fight (due to having Maxentius/Crocea equipped). However, once I lock the 1dmg daggers in, I find it a lot of trouble to land the reapplied enfeebles. I tried swapping back to Maxentius/Crocea at the 50% to reapply but ended up feeding him TP and having my run ended instantly. It's crazy how dangerous giving him ANY TP is.... Do you stack m.acc gear and keep the 1 dmg daggers on or do you have another solution?
Yes! Both Normal Accuracy and Magic Accuracy I find come into play here. To get around the Acc issue I just make sure I have enough accuracy in my tp set but getting around the magic acc issue is a bit more complicated. as you pointed out you can re-equip magic acc weapons and recast but it really is a sloppy solution. I found that the only real difficult enfeeble to land is Silence. Make sure you land frazzle first and Boost Int! Also make sure you use Styime before casting it. Normally it took 1-5 castings but with eventually it will land. Truthfully that is the hardest part of this fight.
Turn around before you recast mid-fight in your Max/Crocea. Cast while still facing away. Can't feed TP if you're not facing him :) Return to facing him in 1dmg daggers once re-enfeebled.
@@NextGamesGuide thought about migrating to Asura due to such being on Siren yet I visited Asura just to buy some goods and I actually think its best on low population servers. @@NextGamesGuide this gets me thinking, I'd seen a ffxiah post I think about how to update modleviewer programs as they do not include some of the latest dat files. Hmmmm, I've actually never used the modelviewer programs before but will take a look and see if I can figure it out. Really hoping they make that Katana available through other means soon!
@@NextGamesGuide Which Katana ? also I will dig around for guide on how to update it, more or less my pc died and did not reinstall dated viewers this time around just yet, But I'd found the guide via the viewers program help tab in the program which directed me to some info. I did this with a 6 box setup, 2 rdm both with orp sashes, nin tank, brd, geo, whm. Had so much trouble towards the end as I would always START the fight with silence. Resistance built up by 50%. I think starting the silence rotation between 2 RDM would of worked much better if I had only waiting till 50% mark to start. Thanks for the tip. Odin said been haunting me for a while now.
Upon initial casting yes but only a small amount, should only need to cast twice a run and would take far more to give him enough TP for an ability. That being said it's not really necessary for the strategy so it can definitely be skipped if you don't want to risk it.
Dia doesnt actually help you at all whatsoever. It lowers targets Defense not Magic Defense nor Meva. You dont want to do Physical Dmg and shouldnt be doing such and Dia only works to boost Physical Dmg. The only Dmg you are doing is Magic via Enspell. We dont use Dia when we MB on BLM nor is such useful for Enspells or am I mistaken? That would be interesting to learn that Dia helped Magic Dmg as well yet that's def not my understanding of such.
Yeah this was my biggest question as well. Dia should still give 100TP (I think all spells do, assuming they never changed it), so 3 casts of it and you’re 30% to a WS. Dia does not help anything here. Frazzle is there to boost the enspells and get debuffs to land.
Interesting, just to make sure, you don't have any of the items right? I ask as if you do then if that item drops, nothing will drop. This means if you have the two rings (the most common drops) it can often be many runs between drops. However if you literally have none of the drops and have gone 10 runs without getting anything, wow that's surprising. Are you putting TH4 on them?
@@huyvitran wow thats crazy. It took me only about 20-30 runs to get all of the items to drop. No th doesnt proc on subjob so if you hit it once with th3 or th4 equipment on that is all you should have to do. Sorry its taking so long, GL on some drops soon!
@@huyvitran Understood. FYI I find D very challenging to solo even with the best gears. Accuracy and magic Accuracy are the main issues. Not saying it can't be done, just mentioning the main issues you should be expecting when trying it.

i tryed this yesterday same gear as you and daggers yet i was hitting him for 1 and 2 damage with normal attacks i dont understand why
Master levels most likely why. And don’t use Dia.
In the gear setup, there’s a recommendation for storeTP gear. Am I missing something if we’re hitting for zeroes?
Ha, nah must just have not been thinking of it at the moment. No store tp is not of any use here, multihit and accuracy is what you want to focus on.
is there a max atk i must not go over? being doing 1~3dmg which gives him TP and making the fight so hard
As long as you use 1 Damage daggers you should be just fine, are you using daggers with 1 damage on them? I've never had this issue.
@@NextGamesGuide yes using d1 daggers..
@@Trinetra3382Very odd then, just tried again myself and still works as expected for me with 0 damage per hit, didn't have a single hit do 1 damage.
