This is my favorite solo project from Amy Lee. I heard the song several times and knew it was to a film and decided I needed to see what this movie was about and get a better understanding of the lyrics. After watching Voice From The Stone it definitely made more sense and made me fall in love with the song even more. If you haven’t seen the movie I highly recommend watching it. ❤

"Never Go Back" is one of Evanescence's song that she rewrote to work with an orchestra. It's about putting herself in the place of those who lost love ones during the 2011 Japanese tsunami. It would be good to listen to the studio version (more rocking), then watch the Synthesis live version with the orchestra. An amazing musician and performer. The band also plays with the orchestra, but they are more in the background (except for the drummer, who always seems to stand out).
