Loved both Ac Pno & Rhodes on the Kronos......both keyboards are awesome in their own unique way....U have any of these two, its a win win.

I have both the electro 6 and the Kronos 88 ..I love the piano on the Nord way more than the Kronos ..but like the Kronos for everything else Kronos it’s way more powerful in my opinion
The Kronos is such a powerful workstation!!
Aside from the Grand/Acoustic Piano, I don't think there is a category that the Nord beats the Kronos in. I have even heard some guys here on YT that tweaked and matched up the Kronos CX-3 Organ to a real Hammond and it was pretty good/close. The one main thing about the Kronos that is the downside is that it is very deep and requires some menu diving and that 1000+ pages of Manual/parameter guide.
The piano sounds on the Kronos sound more intimate and CCM styled
If you can, try the Italian grand on the korg kronos. Expansion pack
the queston I would ask is, how much you can tweek the sounds to your liking on both keyboard? I´ve have the kronos 2 for 4 years now and believe me, once you beging to modify all the parameters on the kronos piano, you can make them sound the way you want. plase try to play a little with the lid position, velocity bias, release, damper resonance etc, and start adding some effects (you have 12 effects to chose from). Nord sounds really well, but I doubt it can offer all the posibilities the kronos offers.
I will have both still for the same reasons!!! It’s something about hearing the room on the Nord that gets me every time!!! Even on recordings I know when it’s a Nord I know when it’s a Montage I even know when it’s a Roland!!! Roland is my first love!!!

There's something odd about the high end of the Nord Rhodes sounds where they just don't cut it. I'm totally with you on the Kronos rhodes. I think it's to do with the sample sizes where the Nord is given a Toby amount of space, whereas the Kronos has far more sample space with no loops.
Re the pianos, which i find are short and less sustained on the Nord, hence the reason for the sounds cutting through when adding to a production. All again related to the small sample amounts.

I agree with your reviews, the nord for piano for me and but I have to admit that Kronos piano is exceptional, I really like it, but the Rhodes on the korg, are lifelike
Yes that’s the perfect way to explain it “lifelike” lol it feels alive !
I only have the Kronos, so my view is quite biased, but the Kronos gives you more control over the tonal quality of any of the pianos available. Be it the Italian Grand or the German Grans and even the Rhodes, you get so much control to tune the piano to just the way you like it. Don't stick with the stock patches and do some mild tuning to get your perfect sound.
That Rhodes and groove at 4:00 is 🔥🔥🔥
Good video, I have the Kronos 2, but don't know if it makes sense to let it go for the Nord. The full package of the Kronos2 is a lot to let go of just because of the Acoustic Piano.
I would prefer to keep the Nord over my Kronos if I had to choose.
I don’t have a Nord but the piano sounds like the feeling you get when you sit at a wooden piano. I feel it in the mid range. I get that same feeling from some of my IK Multimedia sounds or some of the other vsts I have. My guess is that Nord just put more detail into their piano sampling. I don’t own a Rhodes but you should check out the jazz time Rhodes in Arturia’s Analog lab. I have the lite version I believe and get that same hefty vibe you get when playing the Nord piano. It just makes you want to play. I’ve played the Yamaha p515 at a music store and the first piano was very good in how it felt playing with the keybed.

To me Nord all day on the pianos. Rhodes are nice in the Kronos but to me it sounds like the Rhodes in the Kronos are Eq with more bass frequencies which you can achieve with the Nord as well. I am with you on the fact that since I got my Nord I don’t use VSTs for piano recordings anymore. Everything seats well in the mix when you record a Nord. The question I have for you is this…..do you justify buying a Kronos which the cost is about 3k just for some Rhodes sounds? Or Even strings, etc. That’s the million dollar question. However, I do like you bringing up this keyboard comparison. Big fan of your content and channel. I have learned tons already!! 👊🏾👍🏾💯
Do I recommend it….no lol !! I sold my Yamaha Es 8 to get it. I paid about $2k for the Kronos. I want to dig more into it to really get my money worth.

I'm a Korg fan, but there's no denying that the Nord piano is impeccable. It sounds like something dropped straight from heaven. The Korg Rhodes however sound richer and just have THAT thing 😭.. I'd play Nord pianos and Korg Rhodes
I love the Kronos Rhodes so much. The Kronos pianos are nice to but I wasn’t expecting it to win over the nord pianos.
I would love to hear the organ for these two and strings please
The Nautilus actually has a better organs surprisingly. They’ve done some software updates to make it sound better sonically

@@GEMACOUSTICS So they’re somewhere in the middle (when compared to Nord, Yamaha, Akai, and Roland) . They sound good in the mix of a track (especially the distortion/woodiness to my memory) but I wouldn’t play them by itself
Nords the best but still not at “walking Hammond” level, in other words it isn’t so close you can’t tell the difference between it and a real thing…yet. I think by the time the Stage 5 or 6 comes out they’ll be in that realm though lol

The nord sounds cleaner and crisp but the Kronos is very powerful , sound design, splits , and upgradable, Kronos is a one of a kind powerhouse, full of sounds you can change and personalize.
I don’t understand why a keyboard with fewer sounds should be expensive, I think Korg did a fantastic job on Kronos as it’s see on mount Rashmore as the greatest user friendly keyboard
Nord may have fewer sounds but it’s quality over quantity. Nord is handmade in Sweden and very different than most keyboards.

Roland Fantom
Yamaha motif
And they told me the Nord is expensive and have fewer sounds so I listened to them
Go to you piano in the Kronos and turn down velocity bias and velocity intensity. That will increase the wood tones like the Nord piano have. Also I have Nord samples for the Kronos that sounds incredible

@@michaele09me I didn’t purchase them, I got the free from a kronos group on Facebook. We were all exchanging samples, I have a few motif samples as well.

As far as realism I got to hand it to the nord, but there is still characteristics of the korg sounds amazing as well. I really enjoyed the Rhodes on both

I’m actually saving to buy a Kronos
I've had the chance to play both electro and stage 3 from nord. And compared to other brands such as yamaha and even watching this video of korg. Nord has a hard time cutting through the mix to me especially in a church setting. Where as yamahas pianos are perfectly blended I can even heat the Korg the same
I feel the Korg is a better E Piano. The Nord has better Pianos. I feel the Korg Kronos is a better keyboard.

I think Korgs next “Kronos” ( I think “Korg Zeus” would be a good name since they’re all mythology based) is gonna best Nords pianos. Have you heard the grandstage x? Those uprights are so good and warm sounding 🔥

I think the pianos on the Korg Nautilus are even better than the Kronos, so maybe compare those 2.
I think no test is legit unless it’s a blind test. Reason being is because there are too many fanboys.

Im at a lost because my nord electro 6d sounds nothing like that, it sounds very toyish
Most of the pianos I use on my nord are the (Large samples and (XL samples). Give that a try. Also try updating the nord keyboard itself.
