Shark Tank’s Daymond John joins us for an awkward episode and helps us interview those who may be the entrepreneurs of the next generation; our country’s youth. Guests include some begrudged fans of Laufey who’ve been waiting in the sun for over three hours, a tattoo artist obsessed with words, and an aimless twenty-year-old responsible for making claw machines impossible to win. Goddamn, Daymond had such a weird personality. I mean he was very clearly high and brought that bag of munchies, and was really uninterested in even being there. And also he just had the absolute worst sense of humor, wasn't even able to hold a normal conversation with any bystander or guest on the pod. Maybe he just doesn't have conversations with everyday people.

I don't know if it was him "joking", but it felt more like him blaming an employee for Round1's bullshit, which they probably don't let workers push back against (besides giving the prize to people who tried too much out of pity)

Hey, we totally hear you and are so sorry you were made uncomfortable on our show. We absolutely never want anyone to walk away from our table feeling bummed out by their experience.
This was our first encounter with Daymond. What we assume happened was that there was a lack of communication between us & Daymond’s team. He was likely told that this was a “comedy podcast” so he showed up in some version of a character and wanted to do some roast-type stuff? Regardless, that’s not an excuse to be rude or dismissive to anyone to the point where it makes them feel uncomfortable. In the future, we’ll be sure to more clearly communicate the tone of our show to anyone we plan to have on. We’re sorry.
No for sure it was disappointing. Typically they don't have guests or at least cool ones and its more about their interest in meeting people. Not some dude using it as an opportunity to be an asshole and a perv. It's unfortunate that you were the one who sat and had the headset but didn't get to talk about what you actually do. I wanted to hear more about stuff you work on and how you got into audio engineering as someone who also wants to get into it. That would've been interesting and they would have asked about it for sure otherwise.
I don't think they knew he'd act like this, but they definitely did nothing to stop it either. I'm sorry you had a poor experience 💜

Absolutely positive the guys were just overwhelmed with everything going on to react properly/effectively. I truly hope this isn't going to be a recurring attitude to people like this, pretty disappointing to see (especially comparing their reactions to similar people in the past)!
