@@MS831985 I see the effect they wanted to go for, and I think they needed more choir rather than just vocal hum-alongs. The 'vaunted, magical, otherworldly' feel is annulled by the weird... mechanical, cultish sound of all this. To think, they did this to SoM's OST, when they did so amazingly well on Trials of Mana...
The remix kinda grew on me... i started making my own translation of what they're saying lol. It sounds like they're saying aye yee yee The master lock or the Best of luck... and then i can hear "are you happy? Huh?"
I like both, and given that you can swap your music on the fly it's really a non-issue to me; however, I do like the original more. Neon X Game Remixes also has a cool version on YT.

In the other hand, we can still play this new version of Secret of Mana with the old songs. That's the way to go. ;)

I see what they were trying to do here and I kinda like the idea of adding voices, but those shrill instruments are just a pain to listen to.
