I really like what I see here! My ideal set up would have two condenser mics going into their own preamps...and then going into the mic inputs on the back of the interface. But I want to be able to send/return one compressor to both of those inputs before it goes into the DAW. Or would I need to have 2 compressors to affect each mic input? Thanks!
Hey thanks for watching, You should be able to do this with the send and return on each channel of the iD24! Sending from the iD24 to your compressor and then back into the return input of the iD24 before hitting the DAW.
The big problem with Audient's "pro" interfaces to me is that only the two channel one supports IOS for field recording. I want to start getting into ambient recordings and for that I need four mic pre's, so I am looking elsewhere, using an ipad versus a portable computer is a big difference in how much weight I need to carry, not to mention the convenience of the touch screen....
@@StudiosparesTV I asked them about it in a presales question, and the guy sounded unimpressed, and told me to buy a portable computer instead of an iPad Pro, then "it would work great".
so do all the mkii series have the same preamps and sound quality
Hey, thanks for watching and commenting! All the Interfaces in the iD range have the same high quailty preamps!
Audient is missing out on a rack-mounted interface for the home studio of the id ilk. I think there is a market for it.
Although the iD range isnt rackable the Evo 16 is! Maybe this would suit your needs!
@@StudiosparesTVthe iD range has the preamps we love please tell them to made a rack mount version’

Nice presentation
Thank you! Cheers!
Can we set one of the buttons to transform the dial to pivot from direct monitoring to DAW? Like the dial on the id4.
Hey Larry, we believe you can achieve this in the software provided with the iD24!

This is a good idea! You should contact Audient as I'm sure they would love to hear this feedback for future updates to there product line!

Does the iD14 and 24 have the same pre-amps?
Yes..
Yes they do! Here's some more information about Audient preamps if youd like to check it out! audient.com/technology/mic-pre-technology/
The only way to turn off is unplugging the USB-C type cable?
hey luis that is correct
@@StudiosparesTV What about the heat after long sessions?
@@StudiosparesTV
Unplugging a cable to turn off an interface is poor planning. Ridiculous.
