revisiting this after rajon rondo’s official retirement announcement. i’ve been a laker fan my entire life, but as a kid rondo was my favorite point guard. the only celtic who i didn’t despise while they actively played for my favorite team’s biggest rival. the real point god 🐐
rondo was projected to be a backup or at most an above average starting point guard. no one thought he would become an allstar like he has in the league thats why 20 teams passed on him in the draft and hes the best player from that draft by far. he plays with the heart and soul and passion that so many players lack these days. this video personifies him...this is who he is and wat he does every night out there on the court. this is an amazing mix for one of the best point guards in the nba man
Watching Rondo compete in the playoffs bought me so much JOY.... Chris paul might be the best PG in the regular season. But Rondo is the best PG Playoff performer in the league by far..CP3 can be shut down in the post season when defenses focus on him. Rondo can't be slowed down even when they lose it's not from his lack of game. I believe he has the most playoff triple-doubles amongst active players...HOPE he proves to the world who is the best PG in the league because a lot of people have forgotten just how great he is...Last time I checked Playoffs is when legends are made; Rondo just needs to make it a point to put up big numbers during the regular season.. Still love Chris Paul but he gets more love because Rondo does not score as much...

The celtics had a draft restriction that year, they called The Suns with a trade and told them to draft rondo and the trade would be complete, technically yes the Suns did draft him but it was through the voice of the Celtics
