Concerts at the Salzburg Easter Festival 24: Interview with Antonio Pappano

Sir Antonio Pappano is the Festival Conductor 24, bringing his Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia from Rome! Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem is at the centre of the concert programme, but there are also rarely performed masterpieces by Ottorino Respighi, Victor de Sabata and Luciano Berio to discover. Soloists include Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha, Judit Kutasi, Luciano Ganci, Michele Pertusi and Pinchas Zuckerman. Our 2024 guest conductor is one of the most exciting artists of his generation: Jakub Hrůša was recently appointed to succeed Antonio Pappano at the Royal Opera Covent Garden and will conduct music by Berlioz and Martinů.
