Michelle - you always have me bursting with laughter. The turbo farts. The eating every 30 minutes. Even back to the time when you bought a ceramic frog for scissors and a big green thing arrived. 😂 Thank you for your wonderful videos. Sorry for the loss of your teaching colleague. Happy stitching!
Thank you for the Alphabet charts freebie. I have cross-stitched in the past probably 19 years ago. But I never learned all the stitches, I avoided the ones that had the drawened threads. I am so sorry for the loss of your teacher friend. I know how teachers or a coworker can become close and it is heart breaking when one passes away. She is in a better place where she is healed. I watched your pins and floss markers last night. They are beautiful. Wish you much luck in stitching the stitch mania and can't wait to see the turnouts. ❤👍
A fab morning briefing - I'm so sorry to hear about the sad loss of your colleague. Love the mania plans, Thank you for sharing your stitching adventures x
I hope you and your family get to visit the States many times and I hope each visit is wonderful. Thank you for another great video where, once again, I found more projects I can't live without! I'm so sorry about your co-worker at school. So heartbreaking.
I too offer my sympathies to you and your staff for the loss of a fellow educator. I am in the classroom in the SPED department with learning challenged students, which I love. We started in class last Sept. with limited population, now in the past 5 weeks returned whole population to prepare for end of school year. Thankfully we can wear mask of choice, and encouraged to wear scrubs cause we have to clean all desk after each class period. So nice to not have to think about daily wardrobe, lol. I love the freebie, thank you so much for sharing. I too have stitched thus far 4 different designs on a piece of 25 practicing 1 over 1 and loving it. And your red choice, love! Thank you for your teaching floss, I loved them.
My grandpa and his family can over to the USA from Wales. He had 11 siblings. They talked in Welch and they have a separate cemetery for the Welch. I loved hearing them sins. In my hometown they still celebrate St David’s Day with a Parade were everyone represents their family but carrying a banner with your Welch family name.
Michelle, thanks for three awesome videos this weekend...love everything you showed us...love the Maynia Plans...you will have a sampler wall by the end of the year...so sorry to hear about you coworker...cancer is bad...and your Mom...Happy Birthday from Charlottesville Virginia, USA...take care and wishing you Joy and happy stitching ❣️
Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend 😞. Your warning about not Googling ring bling had me laughing! 😂 I think the dark blue and gold on Matters Choice is a brilliant idea!
Thanks for the tutorials. I like your Maynia plans a few days stitching and asigning each month to stitch them. Look forward to watching your progress on those charts.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved colleague. I just now did my at-home Covid test (spit in a tube in the US) and was laughing at your comment about not having 30 minutes between meals! Sounds familiar! Beautiful stitching, Michelle! Take care.
I love your videos. I am amazed at how much you get done with a small child and teaching! I'm retired and have a husband at home and two big dogs. I do not get as much done!! Your needlework is so beautiful! Thank you for always posting.
I enjoy your videos!! We have similar interests. I found it interesting that you wanted to stitch the US flag. I have a fascination with the landscape of the UK. My favorite TV show is Escape to the Country. I also love The Great British Baking Challenge. Anyway, I found it interesting. Keep up the great work!!! Best wishes for a safe and productive week! See you next Sunday.
Enjoyed catching up with you, seeing your stitching and hearing of your Maynia plans. Lovely finish on Thirza. I was deeply, deeply sorry to hear of the loss of your colleague. Thankyou for the lovely printable calendar. When I heard Wales was opening up - I was half expecting you to turn up declaring that you had been to the hairdresser. Someday soon - if only!!!
So sorry for loss, I was an educator for 17 years and the relationships you build are so special. I really like your Maynia plans, it will be fun to see you work through the projects. Until next time...
Your plans look like such good fun and you are so organized, I’m so impressed and inspired. All of your stitching is absolutely beautiful and I love all your finishes. I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of your coworker, it’s so difficult to lose a friend and workmate. Take care.
Hi Michelle ... so sorry for the loss of your friend and coworker. I really do like your idea also on Maynia. Love your organization of kits and calendars .... very impressive. I have Agnes Platt chart , I should kit her up for the weekend of BB. Great idea.
So sorry for the loss of your beloved colleague. All week I gathered small spools in anticipation of your tutorial. Have to get the glue and then am set. Your videos are so informative. Great Maynia plans, you do think outside the box.
Love the Rainbow Gallery charts. I downloaded them and plan to make the little pillows. Love the idea of being able to learn all the different stitches. Thank you for making us aware of them. First time watchers. Love your videos.
Love all you little finishes on one piece of fabric. I also do similar thing with pattern in plastic sleeve. Re sulky threads. We can purchase the big spools at Spotlight which is a craft/home wears store here in Australia and I have purchased a multi pack from Amazon but looked up Sulky Australia and found the website her with all sorts of things. Thank you for the suggestion. Love your Stitchmaynia plans. Stitchmaynia 2019 I started each of the little shoppes on the Afghan I have just finished. Was great when I came back to it as all the placement counting was done. Am thinking about a similar plan for this year with one of my bigger wips. Have a great stitchy week
Good morning. I love your idea for Maynia. It is, I think, a doable plan. Now to start collecting and organizing. I’m working on something that I can will fit perfectly into that. Thank you for the idea. I look forward to coffee with you each Sunday.
Hi Michelle!!!!! I soooo enjoyed your video tonight as I worked on "Band of Roses 1845". And I was so surprised to hear my name!!! I LOVE your Maynia plans, the samplers you have chosen are all just lovely. And your calendars in each bag are such a good idea, and so beautiful :) I also love your Ring Bling, I have been wanting to make some for a long time. I will be off to watch your tutorial! I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your colleague. How sad. And I am always so fascinated to hear about school and the things that have changed because of Covid. Our numbers here keep going down and down. Our State and County mask mandate will end April 10, but schools are still required to have employees and students wear masks until July 1st. Our last day of school is May 27th, but I work until June 11th before I am off for the summer break. However, we can wear whatever mask we like, and the teachers can still choose to wear a face shield if they stay 6 feet away from the students. I am still laughing about your brownie incident earlier this year :) I so hope things calm down soon for you in GB as well. I am starting to pull patterns for Maynia as well, and trying to decide what I want to do this year. I have such fun planning and getting ready for it :) I hope you have a wonderful day with lots of stitching!!
Hi Brenda! Thanks for the lovely comment! I find it interesting to see what’s going on around the world to - the UK seems much more restricted than the US. I’m really ready for some socializing! I can’t wait to see what you pick for Maynia...I love seeing you come back to projects and get them done; I really need to ‘be more Brenda’ 🤣
Michelle, I am so sorry for the loss of your fellow educator from school. Such a hard loss especially since she was so very young. Prayers to you and the community there! I LOVE your Maynia plans!!! Such a fun year planned with all those lovely samplers. I am still excited to see when you might work your 2nd unfinished sampler into the mix for us to stitch together. And thank you for the fabulous alphabet / specialty stitch freebies!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've been mentioned in the Morning Briefing! 😊 So excited you will be stitching The Bee Skep soon and possibly starting the Summer Berry Pincushion for the strawberry sals. Your Maynia plans are quite fun and so organized. Michelle, I'm so sorry for your loss of a colleague. Stitching a commemorative piece is such a lovely idea. Take care.
So sorry to hear about your loss of a colleague. I know the feeling. Have been there twice (53 and 31 years only) 😢 The first one was my closest team partner, it was so tough. I still think about her very often. We have to wear masks at our school too, but we can choose between a mask or a visor...You only need to wear them when moving or when less than 2 meters away from the students. I feel sorry that you have to wear it constantly. Breathing gets hard. Kind regards Esther
Those were our regulations in Autumn so they have been ramped up for this term, along with the testing.......just give me the blooming vaccine 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
I enjoy seeing and hearing what you've been up to each week. Wonderful finish on Thirza! I think Sheilia from the Sunshine Stitchers flosstube has stitched the alphabet book this past year. She did two letters each month. It was always interesting to see where the specialty stitch was used on the page. I didn't realize that it was a freebie. Thanks for the heads up. Take care and stitch on!
Oh Michelle, I’m so very sorry to hear about your dear friend passing, God bless her precious family and everyone at school! Your stitching is so very beautiful and your sampler pieces are gorgeous!!! Much Love, Tina! 💚
Thanks MichElle for the enjoyable edition. I think you’re wrong about the HF 1916 Sampler. I don’t think it was a mistake. The ST compilation is probably the initials of her sweetheart. 1916 was during WWI and her sweetheart was a soldier. Just guessing but I think it is something a girl would do during wartime. Keep up the wonderful videos.
Thank you for the three videos this weekend. Have you considered wearing a regular mask under the one you have to wear for work that will not suck in to your face when you breathe. Just a thought. Have a great week!
Sorry to hear about your colleague - how dreadful. Thanks for the tutorials and the top tip re Fat Quarter Shop. I want to get the four vegetable seed packets and finish them like Michelle McGraw did - such a cool idea! Stay classy xx
Thank you for your video. Loved your finishes, and your WIP. Saved your tutorials for later viewing. Your Maynia looks like fun! I think I'm doing a WIP Maynia this year. Working on a WIP every other day. Should be fun! Take care and happy stitching!
Loved all your postings this weekend. I've been looking at ring minders to buy and just couldn't spend $10 or more for one but would love to make my own. Thanks much for all the tips.
Your Thersa was shown on WIN'S video. Such a beautiful sampler. I was hoping to see the bee and how he's coming along. Thanks for posting 3 times this wknd.
Love your Maynia plans. Seems like a great way to play along without adding too much to the WIP pile. I’m so sorry to hear about your friend/co-worker that padt away this past week. ❤️. And happy birthday to your mom!
Michelle what a great maynia plan!! I may copy you but just do 6 as I don’t want to get in a panic and I think it would freak me out to do 12 😂 if I love a WIP I hate to put it down for too long! Thanks for introducing Finally AFarmgirl - what a joy and at last u get to see someone else working on the Quaker Bluebird sampler - for a Cardiff city girl this is so cool 🐦! X
I did One Nation and it was one of my favorite things to stitch ever! It’s actually very easy to stitch! Look forward to seeing you stitch it!! And that freebie is amazing!!!
So sorry for your loss. Although we didn’t know her, her loss ripples throughout ... you can email Erica And ask her about the finishing chart for the book. Jen from Jen’s stitching niche showed her finish a while back. I then emailed Erica and I somehow got a copy and it became available again shortly. Thanks for your tutorials and you’re always a ray of sunshine.
Thank you Michelle. Great idea for the mania, every month some start. Maybe i will make every month a small pillow, a drum or something. I don't have this but i like it very much. So maybe i give it a go. I enjoy your sal everydag and it is nice to see it growing.
I’m late at catching up with your Sunday briefing , so sorry to hear about your colleague’s passing. Thank goodness for having to focus on your students and your stitching 🤗 Ref mask, would you be allowed inserts? I’ve invested in some, made of plastic, easy to clean, very effective in keeping mask off your mouth, therefore no lipstick smears, and most importantly, no clinging to your face when you speak and breathe. I found them in Amazon at reasonable price, with lots of choices; just search for “face mask inserts”. All your projects are beautiful, and I always look forward to your videos 🤩 Stay safe 😷 and well and cheers for now from Eastern 🍁 Canada 🇨🇦
A cuppa tea and your Morning Briefing is the perfect way to start my Sunday. I love your plans for the rest of the stitching year. I can't wait to see them all completed. How do you plan your days to get all your stitching in? I have such challenges planning mine, so if you have any suggestions to help me plan better, I'd love to hear them. Thanks and have a great week.
I stitch every evening from about 9-12 (I kid myself that I don’t need much sleep!). I stitch in hand with the sewing method so I think that’s faster, plus I don’t mark off on charts so I’m not stopping and starting lots. Also kudos to my partner who does 50:50 with housework/cooking and childcare so we both get time for our hobbies
@@mommalovesyougb Thank you for your reply. I've tried stitching in hand and find it challenging. I stitch two hands and on a frame, mark off my charts and I see now that my method is slower. Thank you for explaining your process to me. I love seeing all your projects and I enjoyed the bobbins and the "ring bling." Have a great week, looking forward to Sunday.
@@susanhowai6535 it really doesn’t matter as long as you are enjoying what you do! Your stitching may well be neater than mine 😂 However fast either of us stitch we’ll still never get through everything we want to stitch or probably even half of what’s in our stash....so all that remains is enjoyment!!
Hugs to you Michelle, so much going on. Thanks for showing all your lovelies and enabling a few more purchases. Extra thanks for always highlighting a freebie or two. I also appreciate your tutorials on all the DIYs. Did I miss the info on the link/name for the calendars?
Just ordered a bunch of Sulky. Will be doing One Nation, probably in July. I have limited stitching time so I tend to be monogamous. Thanks for 3 videos this weekend!
So sorry for your loss of a fellow educator. I taught middle school 32 years and remember a great friend I lost while teaching and think of him every year on his angelversary.
Another great video, Michelle 😊 I’m sorry about your colleague, so tragic 😥 but stitching something in her memory is a lovely idea. I’m off to watch your tutorials now, pins were never something I was interested in making but guarantee I’ll be desperate to get started after watching your video 😂😂
My husband teaches with a mask on and it’s quite a chore. He’s used to drinking tea or coffee while teaching, so now he scoots back into the lab to take a sip
Shelia from Sunshine stitchers on flosstube just finished stitching that stitchers alphabet and is planning yo stitch the book cover for it in the next month or so. It's a very sweet looking project. Your Maynia plans sound ambitious, but you are such an industrious stitcher you'll probably have most of those pieces finished this time next year😅 Love how your Thirza came out...such beautiful colors! So sorry to hear about your colleague.
Sheila from the Sunshine Stitchers is almost done with alphabet book with the different stitches to learn. She is going to make it into the book form. She just needs to stitch the front &. back cover and assemble it. She stitch 2 of the letters a month, so it wasn’t too overwhelming.
My dear friend passed away this Wednesday. I’ve been looking for a mourning sample but as I looked i realized that the sample must be reminiscent of heaven where he must be by now & not a gloomy one. Who would have thought that a needle can offer great condolences !
So sorry to hear about your colleague, my thoughts are with you. I've took a real liking to red samplers and I bought one of Gallianas charts and I think it's going to be a red one!
between you and Brenda and the serial starter, i'm going to break down and do a sampler!! Oh, also if you sign up for the sulky email newsletter, you can find out about sales they're having. They're always having sales :)
So sorry about your colleague. I hope you mum had a nice birthday despite lockdown. I love reds as well. Have you seen Mariska's Red from xJuDesigns? I just got some and it is beautiful. I'm planning to use it on the Old Sheep from her shop, when I find a pattern.
Your projects are lovely! Thanks for sharing all of the beautiful patterns. I do not understand the attraction to Sulky threads. They are more expensive, have wasteful plastic cores, they knot more than anything else I have ever used and they don’t look any different in the finished project. They might look slightly different while stitching but the finished piece is usually not looked at in a close range. I say these things because I have seen so many new stitchers across the flosstube world and on Facebook lamenting that they can’t afford Sulky or feeling that their projects are not as good because they haven’t used it and I hope I can reassure them that they aren’t missing out on anything and can feel secure in using whatever floss or threads that they have. Enjoy the process, enjoy your project and not worry that somehow it’s not good enough. 🌻
It’s interesting about Sulky... I agree about the plastic cores but generally I find them cheaper than DMC. Sulky petites are 90p for 50m whereas most DMC is £1 for 8m ( which works out as 24m when stitching with two threads), the king spools are even better value.I don’t find they knot particularly but then I find stitching in hand causes far fewer knots anyway. I find that they are just another option in the stitchers toolkit. There aren’t as many colours as DMC but I tend to use them on projects that are monochrome or just a few colours. Everyone has to stitch with what they like - there are so many choices out there 😀
@@mommalovesyougb I may need to shop around more. Currently I am paying 60 cents for DMC and $1.60 for Sulky. Good to know there are better prices out there.
I am interested in the memorial piece. It is 7 months since we lost a dear friend to mental health issues at 30. I am finally at the point where I think I could cope with stitching something in her memory.
@@mommalovesyougb she was a passionate traveller so I was thinking of the tolkien quote 'not all those who wander are lost' but that's as far as I've got.
You have a lovely selection of Sitch Maynia charts. I am interested in the When This You See chart, haven't found it on the internet. Could you let me know where you purchased it. Would like to do it in memory of my husband.
If you email Majorie Massey (email below) and tell her you would like to purchase it then she will send it to you in PDF. It was £10. She is French but her English is excellent so it’s very easy lepassecompose62@gmail.com
I use the 12 weight ones. The say that they are 2x as thick as a DMC strand so you only need one thread. I find them to be about 1.5x thicker so perfect on 36ct when 1 thread of DMC can look a bit sparse but 2 strands is too thick 😁
there is a plastic (or rubber) gizmo - sorry I don't have the name of it but if I find it I will pop back on and give it - anyway you put it under your mask and it keeps the mask pushed away from your mouth so you can breathe and talk. Here in the states it is advertised on TV and sold among other places - Amazon. here you go, there are several names and companies but this is the link for Amazon www.amazon.com/nose-inserts/s?k=nose+inserts - hope that helps

Thank you for your video. Loved your finishes, and your WIP. Saved your tutorials for later viewing. Your Maynia looks like fun! I think I'm doing a WIP Maynia this year. Working on a WIP every other day. Should be fun! Take care and happy stitching!
That’s definitely something I should be doing! I don’t have any business starting new projects 😂😂
@@mommalovesyougb Same here, but we still will!!
So sorry about your colleague. It is so sad. She was way to young. Thank you for the tutorials. I am excited to make some of each.
Enjoyed your video!
Lol I’m dying as you are showing the freebie charts- because they would be great in a dough bowl! Now I have do pause and go print them!!!
I thought of you immediately!!! ♥️
I’ve got Huckleberry Farm all kitted up... now I’m bumping it up on my immediate radar list. 😬
It’s amazeballs 😁😁
I’m late at catching up with your Sunday briefing , so sorry to hear about your colleague’s passing. Thank goodness for having to focus on your students and your stitching 🤗
Ref mask, would you be allowed inserts? I’ve invested in some, made of plastic, easy to clean, very effective in keeping mask off your mouth, therefore no lipstick smears, and most importantly, no clinging to your face when you speak and breathe. I found them in Amazon at reasonable price, with lots of choices; just search for “face mask inserts”.
All your projects are beautiful, and I always look forward to your videos 🤩
Stay safe 😷 and well and cheers for now from Eastern 🍁 Canada 🇨🇦
I love your Maynia plans! I may try and do a sampler Maynia too..😍
Great video. Love your idea for Maynia - I'm still deciding what to do.
I like your Maynia Plans....I just may steal it 😬
Go for it! I love the way that Brenda Handworkmaniac is so organised!
I can’t imagine starting all of those samplers in one month. They are beautiful, exciting!!
I'm so sorry for your loss.
@@mommalovesyougb I do enjoy my stitching but I wish I could stitch faster. Your stitching is beauteous :) and I love seeing all your projects.
I loved your tutorials!!
Hugs to you Michelle, so much going on.
Thanks for showing all your lovelies and enabling a few more purchases. Extra thanks for always highlighting a freebie or two. I also appreciate your tutorials on all the DIYs.
Did I miss the info on the link/name for the calendars?
No! I forgot to add it! My mum messaged to remind me and I forgot again....I’m literally going to do it now! I’ve got a brain like a sieve some days!
All done!
Angelversary - I love that! What a lovely way to remember him
Beautiful work
Another great video, Michelle 😊 I’m sorry about your colleague, so tragic 😥 but stitching something in her memory is a lovely idea.
It’s a real bind! It’s hard to be clear - talking loudly doesn’t seem to help either...it just gets more muffled!
I actually prefer ring bling. It’s adds a bit of fun. Your Maynia plans are very organized and looks doable.
We shall see 🤣🤣
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your fellow educator. 😔
My dear friend passed away this Wednesday. I’ve been looking for a mourning sample but as I looked i realized that the sample must be reminiscent of heaven where he must be by now & not a gloomy one. Who would have thought that a needle can offer great condolences !
Sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you find something you like 🙂
Go to Glendon Place Designs as they have a Someone You Love Memorial. I have a photo of it on my Flosstube #21. Stitchingscottie
@@stitchingscottie4505 thank you.
So sorry to hear about your colleague, my thoughts are with you. I've took a real liking to red samplers and I bought one of Gallianas charts and I think it's going to be a red one!
I love Elaine’s work...which did you get?
@@mommalovesyougb it was the house of Christmas. Itll never be done for this christmas but will be for one in the future 😂
between you and Brenda and the serial starter, i'm going to break down and do a sampler!! Oh, also if you sign up for the sulky email newsletter, you can find out about sales they're having. They're always having sales :)
Thanks Lisa...I’ll see if I can sign up but the sales don’t usually extend to the UK website but I’m going to try! 😀
For your mask problem, could you layer your required masked over a cotton one to help keep it from clinging?
@@Lisa-vb3gn $1.60 is probably not far off given the conversion rate...you guys score because DMC is so cheap for you. 😁
@@mommalovesyougb Forgot the conversion rate! Thanks 😊
I’m from the US and I can’t remember all 50 states so don’t feel bad
I have spent the morning googling Erica Michaels sampler book with no success, then watch your video and goosebumps.... weird but great!
Great minds think alike!
I am interested in the memorial piece. It is 7 months since we lost a dear friend to mental health issues at 30. I am finally at the point where I think I could cope with stitching something in her memory.
So sorry to hear that. Which memorial piece were you thinking of?
@@mommalovesyougb she was a passionate traveller so I was thinking of the tolkien quote 'not all those who wander are lost' but that's as far as I've got.
🤗
“Turbo farting”. That’s a new one 😳😂😂😂
It was horrendous Betsy! It’s like he’s had a slow puncture all day 🤢🤮
What a fabulous choice of Samplers for Stitchmaynia! But also a lot of stitching to accomplish. One question. Where do you buy your flossrings?
I buy them from Amazon. You need to search book rings. The smaller ones are 2” and the bigger ones were 3”
You have a lovely selection of Sitch Maynia charts.
❤️❤️❤️
Does your mask have a filter. I make my own cotton mask with a vacuum cleaner hepa filter and it works great.
It’s a three layer mask - we’ve been issued them by the county and have to wear them. I might get a plastic insert to push it off my face a bit 😀

Dear Michelle, which Sulky Floss do you use for cross stitch? I only found Sulky for maschine stitching.
I use the 12 weight ones. The say that they are 2x as thick as a DMC strand so you only need one thread. I find them to be about 1.5x thicker so perfect on 36ct when 1 thread of DMC can look a bit sparse but 2 strands is too thick 😁
@@mommalovesyougb Thank you for your answer, Michelle, now I found it and I will buy and try it. Thank you.
Just placed an order for the spring pack 😍
there is a plastic (or rubber) gizmo - sorry I don't have the name of it but if I find it I will pop back on and give it - anyway you put it under your mask and it keeps the mask pushed away from your mouth so you can breathe and talk. Here in the states it is advertised on TV and sold among other places - Amazon. here you go, there are several names and companies but this is the link for Amazon www.amazon.com/nose-inserts/s?k=nose+inserts - hope that helps
Thanks - I’ll definitely take a look 😁
Did you say that your Mum's birthday is tomorrow (22/3)? So is mine! Please tell her, "Happy Birthday", from me. All the way from Western Australia...
Oh I forgot to ask, where do you get your zipper bags and did I miss where the website is for printing the calendars?
I get my bags from Amazon and I’ve put the link on the show notes now..I’d forgotten earlier!
@@mommalovesyougb thanks! I ordered some already!
