+Someday I hope with all my heart all goes well and she gets here, so fingers crossed! I don't care if she's sick or her voice is worn out, I just want to meet her. :) Of course it would be amazing if her voice would be like it's been lately. We'll see.

Mariah touring in places she's never been honestly makes me feel like she's thinking of retiring lol.

She's going to Finland, so she's obviously ready to retire haha! Actually, in later years we've had big stars visit our country, finally, so she's just a part of a bigger "wave", if you know what I mean. I don't think she'll ever retire. She's still giving us strong albums and doing film work and what not, just more focused on pleasing the lambs nowadays, not the general public, which is good.

Tina Fair enough. It just feels like she's trying to milk her status as much as she can before she stops singing (At least for a while). Like she performed in Israel and to a crowd in China at her boyfriend's casino. I'm not trying to be that guy but I can't help but notice she's performing for crowds that are less involved in American social media affairs and people who do not know how damaged her voice is right now. People in Finland most likely know her (she's huge in Europe so how could they not) but a lot of people most likely don't know the state her her voice. I'm sorry but if I thought I was going to hear 90s Mariah or early 2000s Mariah and I got what she's been giving us lately (Aside from that clip of her singing Hero, and beacon theatre) I'd be pretty mad. I thought she was going to focus on getting her voice back because she hasn't been doing anything but then I found out she's planning a tour and I can't help but think this is a poor career choice for Mimi.

+Hakakuno I was really surprised that she's coming here because she's actually not popular here. I never hear her music being played on the radio and the press only talks about her as an American popstar diva, never about the artistry. It's pretty bleak. I don't personally know any other lambs. It's going to be interesting to meet other fans at the meet and greet. This is my opinion but I don't think we can expect her to sound like 20-15 years ago. It's not fair to Mariah, it wouldn't be fair to any singer, and I just don't think that that's realistic. The voice does change as you grow older and certainly if you've had a couple kids. I'm a singer myself and I consider it to be very important to have a proper technique to maintain the health of your vocal chords and vocal quality. Gifted singers tend to overlook technique because they got away with it when they were younger, but as the years roll by, suddenly they may face some vocal problems when they're older. Mariah is obviously an incredibly gifted singer with a wonderful voice. She is not into technique but I do think that that is hindering her, especially these days. She should work with a professional vocal coach to maintain the health of her voice, especially if she really has nodules. Mariah can still sound amazing though. Her voice is deeper these days with her chest voice being much fuller, so she can really belt. It's with agility and the mixed voice in her range that she sort of struggles with (like a lot of singers) but I've come to terms with her lipping songs partly. She's been doing that since the 90's. Her head voice and the whistle range are still there, plus I love her breathy whispery vocals. There's a lot to look forward to. She's just not a very consistent singer because she's going by with good/bad vocal days. A lot of singers look at it like that but with a really great technique, you can have consistency and give a solid performance even when sick. I think the tour is going to help her vocally because obviously she's going to be singing. And that was a very long comment lol

+Hakakuno I have no idea why my comment has those numbers and things by the way. Weird.

Tina You're right about the whole technique and aging thing, but I do not believe a tour would help her. If there is a problem in her technique and her voice is already incredibly damaged then there is no way a tour is going to help her, especially with how fragile her voice is. She either sounds really good or really bad, and this past year, it's been more bad than good. Her voice is gorgeous. She'd be fine if she got a coach and took an extended vocal rest. Also, get rid of the nodules.
