- i went to biggest bushcraft dugout shelter and this time I took almost the whole day to finish the door, the dugout in the birch grove met me warmly as always, after installing the stove, the time spent indoors became as comfortable and pleasant as possible, because it was light frost outside, and it was +20 inside the room, and this despite the fact that there was a good old tent as the door to this solo overnight stay) #biggest dugout

The door should never open out in snow country; you may get snowed in.
I like how you use rocks to protect your fire and wood stove. It makes better sense than hualing bricks. They will also hold heat. Here in Ohio for our wood stove in the house we use kinetic fans which work off the heat from the stove pipes. It helps move heat through out the home.

Hey there friend I was wondering if you toss and turn when you sleep in your dugout shelter
If possible to might try adding a flue to your stove pipe. It seems like it's drawing awful hard. Alternatively a couple elbow bends might slow things down and give you more radiant heat inside.
Bends on the inside or on the outside? Asking for myself.
@@OICUR12 inside. More surface area means more radiant heat transfer to the air in the cabin.
That stove pipe is drawing pretty hard, consider getting 4-90's for it to slow down the draw and put more heat into the dugout. :)
