"its such a shame that we play strangers" that lyric hit me hard I swear every time I hear that line it makes me think of my old friend and how every time we pass my heart just stops and makes me think of everything we did together damn I really do miss him

As someone who has been a fan of ATL for about 6 years (pretty much half their career) this is hands down one of the best if not the best song they have ever written. It's just so emotional and the lyrics are so powerful. When _Don't Panic: It's Longer Now!_ came out this instantly became my new favourite song. I love them so much and I will never stop supporting them because they are so talented, they are my inspiration and my heroes.

I have a feeling this song is probably about a romantic partner, but it makes me think about all the friends I’ve lost. It’s crazy how much of our sense of self is shaped by other people. You don’t realize until someone is gone, what an impact they had on your life. By then it’s too late, by then you’re just replaying old footage. Songs like this make me wish I had more appreciative of what I had in the present moment.
This also makes me think about how much people change, how our memories play tricks on us. Those people we miss move on, move through the world without us and this song asks the question, would that person we miss even recognize us or are they truly just a phantom lost to time? I don’t know the answer. It scares me. Kudos to all time low for writing a song that makes me think this much.
This was the first song I heard by All Time Low,
