Sergey Rachmaninoff: Elegie Op.3 No.1

GRAND PRIX Winner - International Concert Festival Competition.
Written in 1892, when Rachmaninoff was just 18 years old, this Elegy is very much in the spirit of Chopin, whom Rachmaninoff admired greatly. This piece is dedicated to his composition teacher, Anton Arensky, and each has its own distinctive style.
