  • @sausageswiper6657
    @sausageswiper6657 4 роки тому +35

    Edit: I just realized how long this was, I just have a lot of opinions on this video :/
    First off, dont have a first ride in a bit, that's an idiot move right there. Second, this horse doesn't look to have had much ground work, and the "trainer" went way too fast. This is exactly why people who know what they are doing jump around the horse as if they are about to mount, step in in the stirrups and get down multiple times, just letting the horse know and be prepared for what's going on. If he went slow he would've been able to notice the horse stepping away and he could get down and try again, because you can see the horse starting to take off the second he puts all his weight in the stirrup. third, ALWAYS GET PULL THE HORSES HEAD TO THE SIDE IN A FLEX WHILE MOUNTING AN UNTRAINED HORSE! Notice how he was not even holding onto the reins. If he was holding the horses head to the side while mounting the horse could be able to take off like that, but because the rider wasn't, when the horse got scared he took off, and because the rider was not holding into the reins he had to grab the reins while the horse was bucking and then what does be do??? He yanks on the reins instead of pulling the head to the side for an emergency stop. I was taught this before I ever got on a horse my very first lesson, and this dumbass is trying to start a horse?? This is how you get a spooky unsound horse, because the horse doesn't have a good foundation.

      Thank you!!! I came here to say exactly what you did! Point out the faults and explain so they maybe they can learn from their mistakes. Anytime I see anyone getting on an unbroke or really green horse and they don't have the head turned it's a red flag for me. I will NEVER understand, with all the knowledge at our fingertips now a days with the internet why is this shit still so common? Is it just because so many horse people are close minded and think they know it all or because their family/friend/ trainer did/said it like this for years so it's ok? I got 10 times better as a horsewoman when I opened my mind and tried new things from other trainers, other disciplines, new ways and old ways. Because you'll never train 2 horses the same exact way and you'll need multiple tricks up your sleeves to fix something because no 2 horses are alike. Knowledge is power.

    That looks a lot like my horse. Thankfully she was trained by a professional trainer though and has no buck, rear, bite, nothing. These guys should’ve either slowed down and been patient, especially with ground work. Or have gotten a trainer. Clearly they did none of the above. A reliable round pen would also help, it don’t do you much good if the horse can walk right through it.

    Guys, this is called hard breaking. It’s how horses were trained during western colonization when horses needed to be trained quickly. You hop on and hold on until the horse chills. While not as common as it used to be, it is still a training method used by certain trainers. Not my vibe. This method is much more dangerous as can be seen. However, accidents like this as common as you think. This most likely happened due to the poor construction of the round pen.

    The horse was clearly in pain from the way and it was screaming. He seemed pretty calm so I doubt that he was reacting that way because he was green, more because he was in pain. Which isn’t surprising considering the saddle sliding everywhere. Consider having the vet out to look at him/her and get a real trainer and a real round pen. I hope that horse found a better home.

    Just wanted to add my opinion, the rider isn’t too big for the horse, he wasn’t pulling back on the reins, he mounted like you would mount a well schooled horse. Not for starting one. It’s never the horses fault. He did something the horse didn’t like so it reacted. You have to start with groundwork and have a solid foundation before mounting or this is what happens.

    Love the people thinking that their “riding since I was a little kid” means they are an expert and assuming ground work wasn’t done. I agree some things should’ve been done different, but I’ve seen horses that couldn’t be more perfect on the ground, but they went crazy under saddle. Sometimes, the only way to fix it is to be able to stay on and ride through it until the horse is finished, let it realize its shenanigans isn’t going to get them out of it.

    Ummmm first off everyone let's give her some positive criticism and not be so damn nasty smh im so tired of everyone in this world being so damn mean and rotten when you can clearly see she needs advice so Instead of being a douce help the girl out smh
    As for yall the horse needs work and desensitzing before you even try a saddle also please use a real round pen this is very dangerous and probably alot more stressful for the horse bc they feel more closed in.

      I totally agree with you, but it did seem like the horse had at least a little bit of work with the saddle, and it's so annoying seeing keyboard trainers being "disgusted" with them, and they're saying hes not even getting know the hose right, and thank you, you're literally the only person besides me that hasn't bashed them, yeah, they def could use some improvement but they don't deserve the hate they're getting

    Dude you did good work on getting the saddle on without the buck awesome & with one foot in the Streep’s you had no chance,next time tight your berth,drop one raign & go to weekside & pull to the knees,raign underhand not over the hands,keep circle tight 3 time,open round pin and let him fly run keep main in free hand and hold on better then ^ flags

    Reading the comments made me feel good! Most people who have horses know this was all wrong. First, if you do the training properly before you even saddle the horse this is less likely to happen. Second, if you think for one second your horse will try and buck (which I assure you he knew he’d buck) stand up in the stirrups way slower to get him use to your weight. Then lay across the saddle adding weight to his back. This way if he does buck, you have an easy/quick way to get off. Usually if your horse is not going to buck , once you’ve done that, then you can slowly throw your leg over. He knew the horse was going to do this and that is why he tried to go too fast and get in the saddle before he started bucking. All I can hope is this guy learned from this and did it correctly the next time. What I pray didn’t happen(which I’ve seen too many times) is he beat the horse once he caught him and never changed his approach. He doesn’t deserve a horse if that was his actions once he caught him. This was 100% the riders fault! Oh, and he also doesn’t know how to build a round pen.
