One other feature of Michelangelo's David that I think is important to mention is the size of his hands. Most people don't see it at first glance due to the statue's larger-than-life proportions, but David's hands are actually pretty big in proportion to the rest of his body. This emphasis on his hands has some interesting implications. David's hands are in one sense are a part of his weapon, or rather his weapon is an extension of his hand. Our hands are how we all interact with the world. They are how we hold a chisel to cut stone, or a sling a stone to slay giants.
My favorite ❤️ statue of all time!🔥💪
one of? THE MOST FAMOUS
That was one talented turtle
Was the person filming the statue drunk?

Very true, larger in proportion to symbolize great power
And the fact that it was originally intended to be mounted high up a cathedral, some body parts had to be bigger including the head.
Genio
great vid
Michaelangelo made many drawings and models for the David. In fact, a wax model of the David was discovered not too long ago. Do your homework.
The biblical David was Hebrew, the David statue obviously is not.
