I wouldn't call it a disaster, just simply plans changed. What I love about you two is even though you miss Sonny a lot, you make the most of your honeymoon. I could tell before you even said it Sonny missed you guys a lot by the way he made a beeline for you when you came home. Really glad you guys got to see Sam's family and friends! Those honeymoon photos were beautiful! Sam looked a little precarious in the one right on the water!

Sam and Monica, thank you for this video! I started watching your honeymoon in Venice and it brought back the best memories! In 2007 I took my parents to Italy for 2 weeks and when we got to Venice, it was magical. I surprised Dad and Mom with a special Gondola ride with a violin. There was another couple on the tour celebrating their 25th as my parents were celebrating their 57th. While on the canal, dad remembered the song he sang to mom when he proposed more than 57 years ago. They celebrated their anniversary in Sorrento after spending the day on the island of Capri. Yes, the gelato in Venice is fantastic! You put tears in my eyes as mom and dad are now in heaven. Keep up the great videos and if you want somewhere to go on your next vacation, try Mykonos and Santorini. The locals make some incredible food! Thanks again!
The important thing is is you guy's had fun and made some fantastic memories and that's all that matters really. And you could always visit Barcelona and Rome for a holiday.

I just came across your channel yesterday. I have binged watched as much as I can so far (I have to work and sleep :)) and the first thing I will say is I was smiling non stop. I have smiled for 2 days straight and my face hurts. It literally hurts that I have smiled that much. You two are adorable, sweet, kind, luverly. awesome and just the best. To think I would have had to wait a week at a time to see your videos if I found you earlier. Now that I have found you now and I can watch your story from the beginning to marriage has been just wonderful. Sam, the only time I was in Venice was back in 2009. AC2 had only been out a few months I think and I basically said the same thing. I spent the whole time marveling how accurate the look of the city in the game felt compared to real life.

I completely understand about missing Sonny. My husband and I went on vacation last October, and I missed my puppy dogs, so much. This year if we are going away, they are coming with us. It looks beautiful in Venice though. I've always wanted to go there.

Well, first of all, I don't see a disaster. I see fun all the way. I hate traveling because I also obsess and miss my cat and dog like crazy. And yes, pasties are definitely good. I am American, but I had family who immigrated quite a long time ago to the US from Cornwall, England, to Northeast Pennsylvania. They brought pasties with them as a stock meal. It was cheap and easy, and since they were farmers and coal miners, they traveled well in lunch pails with the men to work. My Irish ancestors also brought a variation of pasties here, too. That being said, I highly recommend them. You guys had fun, don't try to convince us it was a disaster 🤣. God Bless 🥰

Had the good fortune to stay with a friend living in Venice proper along the Fondamenta S Anna for two weeks.
The house was from the 15th or 16th century iirc. It was wonderful!

I was in Venice in 1977. Went up in the Campanile and visited the Murano (glass factory). Bought an amber-colored glass whale, which I still have.

Omg’sh, that’s so funny! 😂 You guys are us..lol We used to travel too, here and there for a week or so, then a few yrs ago I planned our DREAM vacation! I not even going to tell you how much I spent on this vacation, because it was crazy, but let’s just say, we did the EXACT same thing and came home early on day 9, because I was having a nervous breakdown missing my dog..lol My Mister was missing his dog too, so he was fine with it thankfully. Needless to say, we are now RV people! We’ve always loved to camp on a nice lake in a cabin, so we bought an RV so that we can still travel, but always have our fur babies with us, and I’ll hopefully never have to go through that again..Lol You’ll be great parents one day too!!👍💕🤘

Btw If you visit The Netherlands (my country) we have lovely restaurants with great service. But break with the tradition to visit MacDonalds. For one reason or another, American Fastfood restaurants here in The Netherlands, hire only incredible rude people. It is not worth it.
