I have a feeling it was a planned move by Mario.exe, in the intro cutscene recall that he specifically told gf that she wasn’t getting out of this one and that she would pay for DD’s betrayal, but bf had an out if he beat him… however knowing bfs loyalty and overwhelming love for gf of course he would try to find a way to have them both live and Mario.exe knew this considering he also knew about bfs past battles. He wanted them both and trapping bf by making him choose freedom over his gf was just the way to do it.
@@judge2515 I mean yeah, that'd make sense. But I'd assume Mario.exe and Peach.exe are from the same world in this Canon yes? Why would they hate each other instead of maybe having a relationship similar to Sonic.EXE and the Souls, where they're just being puppeted around by him? Or hell, maybe just being willing teammates trying to accomplish their same objective? Yoshi I understand hating Mario, but I dunno about Peach. Hopefully there is some lore
here’s my sonic mix of starman slaughter genesis genocide Mario.exe would be x as in og sonic.exe 1:30 the trumpet playing dry bones would be a saxophone playing Thanatos who does stay after x falls unlike dry bones 2:31 peach.exe would be bandado and yoshi.exe would be kenos 3:33 the melted Mario.exe would be lord Mortis as x turns into him after falling to bandado here he kills Thanatos kenos and bandado as he returns to finish off bf
I konda wonde rif the devs had a scrapped idea of a prequel free play song where it shows daddy dearest trapping mario away inside the game and as the song progresses mario changes into ihis horror State until it endsnwith him grabbing at the screen vowing vengance on daddy dearest

In my opinion bf should have stayed there, while mario was weak, maybe he could have made a difference.
