For someone new looking to get involved in this sport what sort of start up kit and price would you be looking at any information gratefully received swale club is not to far from my home
Hi, so a new kamtec swb kit is around £105. Iv seen these as low as £50 for a 2nd hand kit though. Then you need a battery and radio - kamtec do a full kit on their site including all this and a charger, wheels and tyres and spares for £195 including the car. Then the alloy shells - these start at £30 and go upto around £55 depending on builder. MT alloys on facebook i highly recommend as they are the cheapest and the shells are pretty strong. Next you will need a rollcage, front cradle, door and bonnet plates - these are around £55 from refined ali rc parts on facebook And then you will need a transponder for record your lap time, if your going swale they use the irace setup so they are £14.99 from kamtec as well. And thats it really, the bodys can last a long time depending how much effort you want to put into bending them back to shape and repairing them, iv seen some shells do 17 events... mine usually last 2 to 3 events but just depends how the race goes and how hard you are on them. Theres always raffles on facebook as well for banger kits and alloy shells so might be worth doing that. Iv got a quick video on my channel to show how to mount the alloy body's and whats involved 👍🏻

this looks cool but the only issue is that the cars dont have enough weight making the crashes weaker
