Hi Kevin i was always told that Puerto Rico is one of the hottest places in Gran Canaria i stayed their twice and when ever i returned from a few hours trip it always seemed to be warmer .Also Kevin theirs a walk from Puerto Rico to the next resort i think its amadorus one of the finest scenic walks in the whole of the Canaries By for now Kevin David.
Now, one of my favourite places, love Peurto Rico. Was there in Sept and booked up already for May. Definitely better than Maspalomas area. Can recommend some of the restaurants that you walked by at the end of your video. Oscar's is a wee bit pricey but amazing food. Had food twice in the Waikiki and the Greek restaurant upstairs - mixed grill was amazing.
Puerto Rico has the best winter weather in Europe. Southwest facing resort that is protected from the prevailing Northeast trade winds by the hills behind the resort. It regularly hits 25C even in December and January
Great vlog Kev, the area around Purto Rico is awesome, I'd be happy spending a week in this area, as you have the beach, hotels, shopping & restaurants all in one place!
We've been going to Puerto Rico since 2001 and have heard it's the warmest place in the Canaries. You have mentioned all the places we love there. Hotel Putta del Rey is great for most things it's adults only.
Personally think Rico has for a long time been the only place to go, Amadores has a good beachfront area that’s walkable from Rico.Mogan is the next big name on the block, presently looking bigger and better every time I go,if they lose the no music on a night phobias they’ll stop playing the exclusive act and ( if they want to) move on,it’s the only place I’ve been in an Irish bar during the day that has no night music - that could have changed since I was last there
Hey Kevin , im am in agreement after watching ur videos of Gran Canaria , i would not go there personally ,been to Tenerife ,Feurtventura + over to Lanzarote on ferry and Gran Canaria doesn't even compare . Tenerife fav for resorts all being in walking distance and liveliest .Great to watch thou so i know not to go there lol ✨
Hi Kevin we were in Puerto Rico in September and Playa del Ingles in November we definitely prefer Puerto Rico . Much better vibe and atmosphere just thought once you had done Annexo 2 and Irish quarter that was pretty much it 👍🏴
If your out here just now would of been great to meet up with you. We're staying at maspalomas princess lovely hotel . Spoken before but never met. Keep up the good work Kevin excellent vlogs.
I am in Puerto Rico right now, and I can tell that this video is not from today, where it has been overcast the whole day.... I came here Monday and it's the first day today with "bad" weather - going home to Denmark on Sunday, so hoping for a sunny day tomorrow :) But I definitely agree that it's not as windy here as in Playa del Ingle/Maspalomas
Hi Kevin, great video. Went to puerto rico late 90s , always remember steep steps down to the front to somewhere near the euro center , are they still there?
Hi kevin puerto rico deffo best resort as you say everything in within walking distance has a feel good atmosphere been going for years love the place try extremes bar compare Russ funny man
I always go to Puerto Rico in February for my winter sun. Hottest place in February 25 in the day 18 on a night and can go for a £1000 two adults and one child
Hi Kevin, used to like Playa del Ingles but much prefer Puerto Rico these days. Hard to find good pubs in PdI but good bars in the centres of Puerto Rico. . Stayed in the Riosol just before Covid hit. Cheap beers in "The Hideaway" in the Europa. The world closed down a week and a half after we came back.
Puerto Rico is better for developing your calves. The ballroom dancing as you call it is a group of Finnish people who travel down every winter, over 500 of them. They were dancing in the Yumbo during the daytime when we were there from 16th-23rd November.
Puerto Rico is much better than Playa Del ingles, it is warmer and much less windy. Playa Del Ingles and Maspalomas and Melonares are sometimes very windy.
Hi, fellow Scotsman here, I normally goto Playa Blanca in Lanzarote but quite fancies Gran Canaria, what is a similar destination in terms of decent choice of restaurants at the front. Was thinking Las Palma.
Really can’t see why anyone goes to gran canary when you can go tenerife or Lanzarote ,wouldn’t go back there even if it was free ,just awful dirty place
@@GillianLloyd77 I've been to Puerto del Carmen multiple times, I've been to Puerto Rico multiple times. Love both places, but PR has a charm that doesn't come across in videos, whereas PDC is perhaps a bit sterile in places.
First time to Playa del Ingles in the 70s, with friends. Also, to Peurto Rico a few times with husband and kids when they were younger. Last time, we stayed at El Greco before they were refurbished. Was contemplating going back to PDI, but it looks like it hasn't changed since the 70s. Have watched a few recent vlogs, and it's not really doing anything for me, to be honest. We're looking to go somewhere else in September/October. We normally go to Benidorm but just want a change of scenery. Done Fuerteventura twice, too quiet. Done Lanzarote PDC was OK, and Tenerife stayed in Playa Paraiso, then Las Americas, but not been for a number of years.

Not long back from it, I love Puerto Rico Kevin, been a while since I've been in Playa but I will keep coming back to Puerto Rico everytime

Yip that is about it
Much prefer puerto rico due to its layout being more compact . Add to that , i prefer the varied range of shops including mogan mall
Definitely Puerto Rico for an holiday but I do like the breeze in PDI

100% prefer Puerto Rico

They sure are and it's some climb !

I prefer Puerto Rico than Playo del ingols😂.Love the videos Kevin.
Ta
Kevin, have u been or checked out the Tressemar in Rico, my mate from Stonehouse goes there.
Not yet
Still waiting for someone to review gloria palace, servator puerto azul , or even the riu...all seem to get missed out on these videos

Video soon from the hideaway , stayed in the riosol amazing views.
Hi kevin, I'm taking my wife Puerto rico end of may next year for b/day where is best bar for live music at nighttime?
Blarney stone in europa centre and the shamrock in centre shopping centre.
❤
Yeah I would say Puerto Rico has it's own wee micro climate. Always seems to get better weather than other resorts.
Hands down Puerto Rico is the best resort, roll on May 😄
Amadores beach is spot on

Ah
Love Puerto Rico is 100 percent better than playa del ingles ❤
It was there 2 year ago kev I has a pint on the beach bar
Half way up is the best and only pennies for a taxi up n down
Puerto rico is way better and nicer than playa de ingles all day every day, way more to see and do and way more life there
Hi Kev, is Dave Hansens still doing the street music?
Not sure
Been here many times. Amadores beach is the best!
Much prefer Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas area to Puerto Rico.
Meloneras has a few more bars than that best one is cafe del mar and opposite entrance to lopesan
@@darenbaker4569 that's true
I prefer Puerto Rico than Playo del Ingols😊
Neither of those resorts do it for me. Don’t like the layout or those awful shopping centres😂😂
Not for me looks like a concrete jungle 😮
Would rather holiday in Blackpool Kevin 😉
Lol

Yer went once not 2 fussed about it.

Las palmas maybe but melonares nice although small.
Playa del ingles is right out and KIP
Puerto Rico is way better than playa de Ingles. We went over in September and didn't like it at all.
PR is 10 times what PDI is in my opinion
Far better
Really can’t see why anyone goes to gran canary when you can go tenerife or Lanzarote ,wouldn’t go back there even if it was free ,just awful dirty place
Never seen any dirt when we were there.
Prefer it to lanzarote or tenerife.
All down to what you are looking for.
I don’t get the attraction either. When you look at the Kev’s footage of Puerto del Carmen in Lanza there’s no comparison.
