Living in Georgia we've got pecan trees everywhere, as kids we would pick up pecans and take them to the farm supply and sell them, we would take the money and go to the fair in town, that's how daddy taught us to get money for the fair every year

Brandon take a piece of chicken wire or expanded metal large enough for the pecans to fall through the wire. Make the wire fit over the top of a bucket then get you a box fan and put it on a stand right next to the bucket so it will blow across the top of it. Then take your pecans from another bucket or whatever container you have them in and slowly pour them through the wire while the fan helps blow away the leaves and other debris and the pecans will fall through the wire into the bucket. Old school technique! Good luck, looks like y'all are having fun. Love y'all have a great day see you soon.

I just love your kids, they enjoy helping and have fun doing it.
Braylee is a little stinker just like my Mattie (she just turned six).
Braylee this (half a bucket of pecans) isn't even heavy yet, she's strong for her age. We don't need this green one... she throws it across the yard.. LOL
I hope that Kayson's back is feeling better.
Little Miss.Braylee has a good arm on her...LOL She should practice being a pitcher.
Oh my Addison sitting down right in that driveway reminds me of me. I sat down in the neighbors driveway and started counting my candy one Halloween halfway around our block. I was excited because I had a lot of candy. LOL
Stay happy, healthy, hydrated and safe. May God continue to bless you, your family and your adventures.

hi rustic Woods this looks like so much fun and I do love pecans! They make a good pie! And that’s a really nifty a little pecan picker thingamajig that you push around! I have maple trees and oak trees in my backyard big old oak trees and they don’t lose all of their leaves until spring but my backyard oh by the time all the leaves fall I probably have about 8 inches worth of leaves in my backyard and years ago I used to rake them but now the grandkids do it for me… Thank goodness… I sure enjoyed the kids running around doing this it’s great to see families working and playing together like yours. God bless you all see you on the next video!

@@EddyFamilyFarm They grow easily. We have volunteers all the time. The tap root is extra long and transplant can be tricky. We just have volunteer trees from nuts left on the ground. I'm gonna make a video about ours in a fenceline. We're taking out the fence to save the trees.

I hope they had a good year in the Pecan Capital, Albany, GA. If they did, the price should be a little bit lower. Thats a pretty good haul for one tree. Aww poor little guy. That hurts, I think we all did that when we were kids. Those pecans should be good for the holiday season coming. Look at some recipes if you dont have any for spiced pecans for a treat. Easy to make too.

My ain't used to pay me a quarter a day to help pick up pecans. I have 9 trees in my yard. Always been told to wait after the first freeze to pick them up.
You should learn how to graft them so you can have some on your land.
