Someone mentioned that it was designed to help a species of giant salamander that possibly could go extinct without such a place? If this is true, it would mean someone spent a fortune, and we all know this took countless hours of labor to build! It would make sense about the salamander being they need and gather in areas of constant moisture and water, with all these areas to propagate.

Yo. not to shoot you down but I'm pretty sure it was a farm for some sort of aquatic animal. Any evidence to be found is that it was to preserve a specific species of salamander. Which makes sense with the layout.

这多半是娃娃鱼养殖场，这种违章建筑对自然风景有一定程度的破坏，不过荒废后变得诡异别有风情，适合拍冒险视频。下次去这种山洞建议带电筒，荒废的建筑有蛇虫鼠蚁藏匿很正常，还可能有坍塌的风险，一定要注意安全，女生最好有去过的专业驴友陪同才好去探这些山洞🤐

I believe it's the old Giant Salamander breeding center in Fenggang County, Guizhou Province China

需要审核，而且审核比较严，你看到农村或者乡镇的建筑都是15年以前建造的，或者更早，因为现在农村乡镇不允许建设新房屋或者楼房，而且农村人也都进城里了，所以越来越多农村房屋荒废了
