Saw this coming years ago. I got laughed at. I don't want to pay the troll to cross the bridge, or pay to use a road. I also don't want to pay property tax on a house I "own." Then there's the periodic registering of a vehicle that's already registered to me. What we need is to limit the amount of control government has over the people, and do the same for corporations.
I was on a driving trip in California and suddenly there was a toll booth... I got sent a bill for $7 but don't remember a choice for an alternative road.

Wrong - after the fall of "communism" Ukrainian assets were heavily controlled. Unlike say the ex-DDR where their was via the Treuhand a massive sell-off.
Around 2014 this situation changed and I am not sure of the exact date, even if there was one. But Ukraine began selling businesses eg Gas, agricultural land to companies such as BASF, the then Monsanto, UnIlever, Kingspan etc. Infamously Hunter Biden got a job at Burisima Holdings (Gas Company) These were in the main European/US companies. Now Blackrock may be included/involved but it didn't buy the whole country.
However, without a doubt this "investment" activity is a contributing reason why we now have a war in that country.

Yes It is absolute slavery. I'm in Scotland UK and know someone who works in the TAX offices in London England and it is always assumed that each average working person in their lifetime will hand over around 75% of total earnings and only ever get to keep, use 25% for themselves. We are taxed for so many things, then there is rent, mortgages, council tax tax on all our fuel and communications, high food costs. Subscriptions for everything and the list goes on. I think the LEZ (low emission zones) being introduced into our large cities is more a soft introduction to toll roads everywhere and full control of us all. We are certainly within dystopian times, some countries further along the line than others.

This isn't a capitalism problem it's a corporatism and crony capitalism problem. Socialism and communism are certainly not better than capitalism, and you don't have to look too far back in history to prove this. The main issue is big government colluding with big corporations through legal bribery (PACs and lobbyists control the legislative branch and draft our laws now instead of Congress).

After 30 years my mortgage is paid BUT, My NEW "LANDLORD" is now City Hall ...If you don't pay your "property taxes",( there are many elderly have to choose between food or property taxes)... you will find out who THE REAL OWNERS ARE, and it's not YOU.

Agreed. I find myself scratching my head. I once was proud to have a job, I’m paying my taxes, being productive as a good citizen. I don’t take from the government in benefits. But my kids went to public school. A government school that has lowered standards and has expanded exponentially due to illegal immigration, and the kids can’t speak English and apparently it’s the government job to teach them. Tax payer housing, medical, food, education, etc. Very different from the 1930s. This world is rotten to the core. Bible says to treat aliens in your country well. It says to take care of widows and orphans. I get that. Between income taxes, real estate taxes, personal property taxes, sales tax, locality passed a tax for eating out, grocery tax, fuel tax, state tax, and the inflation tax, there isn’t much left over. Keep in mind govt gets their cut from businesses as well. We have DAs who won’t prosecute, the government works hard to defer sentences so people won’t have a record. We have more generational welfare than ever. The great society doesn’t work. Govt doesn’t replace morality or God in a persons life. Government is empowered and emboldened to continue to take our freedom and liberties and we are paying for it. Im so disgusted with the corruption of our once constitutional republic.

We are approaching retirement and trying to figure how to transfer any generational wealth to our son. Taking human behavior into account, I think the latter is the only way the former could evolve, ergo, it was doomed from the start also, because of the inevitability of blowbacks and upheavals. As capital concentrated into fewer hands, it was only natural it was going to outpace the state and by so doing, destroy the checks and balances set to regulate it.

They did this in Australia, and rich companies bought the essential connecting transport facilities like bridges. People sought to avoid the high tolls and took longer alternative routes. The rich controllers of the main bridges then lobbied the government and immediately all side roads were closed. All vehicles have to have electronic automatic payment systems to avoid toll booth costs. Failure to do so leads to an automatic fine that accrues interest if not paid. One failure to pay can cost a car owner $1,500.
It is just a way of shifting government debt to a limited group who pay more tax in toll fees. Non users still have to pay the excessive government debts, that don't get smaller because having freed some debt, the government rushes out to borrow more.

Unfortunately almost nobody can afford to buy a home without credit. Home’s are unbearably expensive, how is the average person supposed to bypass the credit system. They can’t. They are forced to get a mortgage.
Australia is a dystopian nightmare. Working people can't afford to rent where they work. Over one million family homes are empty, used for capital gains and holiday properties, while hundreds of thousands of people are homeless - over 70% are women and children.
Taxes are high, politicians are rich, people with disabilities are heavily exploited for the payments the government will pay others to look after them ($100-200 hr) but they can't even afford to eat or stay warm because welfare is barely above rent costs. We pay more for our own gas than overseas exports and put fluoride in all drinking water nationally and spray glyphosate just before harvests. Our medical system is rapidly becoming unaffordable and medical experts are woefully lacking.

Yep in the UK our water utilities were sold off, now we have shit spewing into our rivers and surrounding sea. Water pipes are constantly bursting flooding roads, damaging cars, homes, causing traffic problems. these private companies fail to invest properly because they always have to take the cream off the profits and hand them over to private investors instead of reinvesting into fixing things. The whole thing is an absolutely mess beyond belief and it’s a public health hazard.
Same with our energy firms. We pay extortionate prices because profits that should be reinvested to improve services is handed out in dividends to investors. In order to keep a functioning service they have to raise prices. Our railways are the same. Neoliberalism is the absolute worst approach to running public infrastructure. There is no competition with these types of services. They are monopolies with a fake sense of choice. Private owners cannot ever provide better and cheaper utility services than public ownership, investors always want a year on year profit. Both the customers and the general infrastructure suffer.
Utilities like water, electricity, gas, the internet, rail transport and so on should always be under public ownership,

Our government is involved in this takeover. I received a letter from my borough listing all the things that are wrong and need repaired with my house. Then threats of what will be bankrupting fines to me at $100 a violation each day until said repair or replacement is made. All the while telephone calls from equity firms who suddenly want to buy the house as is. Odd coincidence, don't you think? There was no housing crisis until greedy bureaucrats made it so.

Your govt is actually a corporation posing as govt...send the letter (contract ) back to them and tell them you do not accept their contract as you are a living man/woman and as such they cannot contract with you unless you consent...The fines are just threats and have no lawful basis as they are being issued by a corporation itself..look at the contract they sent you...does it have a company number listed...does the borough have a CEO? then you are dealing with a corporation..
Refuse their contract..you have the lawful right to....educate yourself with people who know this scam and how it works
