@@dylanb2990 Well, alliances between the notoriously strong countries are usually disliked, but besides that, I really dislike multiple-member (more than 2, really) alliances between neighbours. Limits expansion, provides comfort and security, makes for a duller game all around. Like, I'd be fine if the alliances were, say, POR-BUR-SAV; FRA-PAP-BOH and AUS-CAS-MIL. That'd be a delicate balance of power. CAS-FRA-BUR and AUS-HUN-BOH is just boring. That's just me though.
thats piss easy to do, fail religious orthodox rebels to flip orthodox after they convert most of your land, then capture croatia to instantly become croatia formable nation, as croatia you are no longer ottoman and therefore can instantly flip byzatine.... if done right ottomans can become byzantium by 1480

Devix Yeah both New York and New Hampshire had competing claims, no centralized government, wasn’t recognized by any established power, so it never really existed as an independent state but definitely has a history of independence through isolation

just make a house rule limiting alliances, such as "only one Great Power ally if you are a great power, or 2 if you are not." would be the most simple fix, as well as limit which countries can ally which, france and castille alliance is extremely overpowered early and even midgame
I was rooting for the France player from the very beginning. The Eastern alliance has done some really shitty things, I really hoped that they would crash and burn. But they have eliminated all opposition through cowardly and dishonorable tactics, like keeping France occupied while they take Normandy and Brittany, effectively permanently neutering the Western Alliance until maybe the Kaiser returns. Great job guys, now the only way we'll get another player war in Europe is if your unholy alliance breaks apart. Which would be nice. The players that should get punished are Sardinia Piedmont and Austria. Also, they should have left England to resolve their own problems. Instead, they basically carried England the whole way through. I'm sure the peace deal will include France ceding huge chunks of land, aswell as Burgundy, effectively rendering them unable to fight anymore for the whole game, unless something radical happens. I guess such are the rules of warfare. Those who know how to manipulate the situation to their own advantage will get to the top, honorable or dishonorable as they are.
Jan Sitkowski however had they won that war its likely they would have gotten all that in the next 20 - 30 years (minus burgundy) and been super strong. Also 200k early game is hardly nothing.
The Anglo-French war was a honest war, why did the eastern Players join. From a winning standpoint I can understand but its a really dishonourable move. Respect Starnan for not joining this mess! Hes also gonna eat them!

You are wrong, the US national ideas are really good. While they do need a rework because they gain religious unity and then immediately not care about religious unity anymore. Other than that their ideas are really good overall.

They have several useless ideas tacked onto them and compared to other formable nations in the area around them, they aren't great at all. +20 religious unity is immediately made obsolete, can make claims in colonial regions is terrible, +1 prestige isn't useful and historically no one thought the colonies were prestigious (only owning lots of land was). They need to be buffed

Even when you are good you can easily snowball debts unrest and other shortages. In my novgorod campaign I got bankrupt because of a combined muscovy danish war but I still defeated them it was the rebels that tore my country a part.
