I’ve had to have four different actuators changed since I found my 07 Cadillac CTS. The right and the left side temperature control and then there was one that controls the function when you switch it to him tested that to the other. And then there was just a hot to cold actuator. They are for one out at different times, so I went to for new actuators on my car. Hopefully they’ll all be good now for the rest of the time I own the the car anyway.

I feel your pain. It’s GM vehicles for you. Chevy impalas are also know for this issue as well

So I'm having a problem with mine to where it works good hot or cold but it doesn't blow air through front only windshield and foot area is that what the problem would be also?

Seems like your problem is with the mode door actuator. That controls which location the air is coming from. I am not sure where that is located on this particular vehicle. But usually it is accessible from the passenger side area behind the glove box on most GM vehicle. Hope that helps…

Yes, the temperature on the driver side won’t change. That’s why this actuator was replaced.

brutal on he back for a big guy!! very poor design.
