That jig thing you made is bad ass i will be askig for some info on its demensions so i may get to makeing one for my self I am very new to the manufacturing of sling shots I to believe that one day it will be a great experience and an asset for the dinner Plate some day sling shots are very powerful and quite as to guns even pellet guns reasonably the sling shot is a nice Hobbie to be getting in to and I do see how many peoples all over the world are in to this as a Hobbie and a sport nice job on the video brother
If you can't find those white plastic things, try this: I had some 14 gauge automotive wire lying around the shop. I cut a piece about 2 inches long, bend it in half, and looped it through the leather. It will then look something like the white plastic things in the video. Soak the rubber tube in alcohol and slip over the two wire ends and leave dry for an hour. Repeat for the second hole an cut tubing to length. The plastic coating on the wire grips the tubing surprisingly well. If I detect any slippage I may wrap it with a very thin string or perhaps some fishing line.
I am making a Hack Berry wood sling shot was thinking about the steel ball method to attach the tubing to the wood. Can any other material be used as long as is spherical? Wood , plastic , .....
Onr of my plastic tabs keeps coming out of the tube (yes it is the correct tubing and the correct tab, it came like that). Is there any trick I can use to keep it in? Was going to try some silicone or even crazy glue, but I'm hesitant to do something, that might cause damage if there is an easier way to do this?
I'm writing this four years after the comment, but for anyone still wondering I think it's possibly affordable to get a heap of them 3 D printed. And if you're smart you'll start selling them to everyone else in the sport.
When using a tree branch fork how long should each fork be and how long should each rubber tube be??? I tried to make a sling shot but its crap.. I think the tubes are too short and the fork is too long..
That is the way i pronounce it as well,,But,if we were to be technical about it,,it would be pronounced Sin 'ew..If it was proper too call it Sinyoo,,it would be spelled Sinewe...Or,,to avoid confusion and debate,we could just call it Tendon...
For those who are new to this sport please don't be a fool like me,befor you make or buy a slingshot please check with your local,state an federal laws to make sure that its ok to have one and not breaking the law....i promise to you that you will highly regret it if you don't

A constrictor knot using a rubber band is what I would use.

I don't think anyone sells them. I reuse them when a factory tube breaks.

I have a slingshot play list. Start with where the forks are 4 fingers wide. I have found that works pretty well.

Why not just use soapy water for lubricant?
Alcohol completely evaporates, I don't use soap but I would think it would leave a residue.
